first time I've seen this. congrats I remember that summer. same week manistee had some bigs out front buddy got his biggest released never was weighed. biggest in 30 years out of manistee.

what a great story and how lucky we are that the fisheries on lake Michigan seem to be holding their own, lets hope Lake Michigan management options for the future are looking ahead to helping the Lake Michigan sport fishery, for the fishing enjoyment by some of us, but also the economic benefits fishing brings to many many small towns along the shore of this wonderful lake. There has to be a 50 pounder out there who is going to get it?

I run the same setup for weighted steel and knots. Came from torpedo video of an old guy showing how.

We were fishing 10 miles north that morning not surprised it was slow morning alot warmer water blew in .. we ended up on great bite north of mansitee. Fished all week one of the most amazing fishing trips of my life time easy 20 lb average on kings reminded me of the 80s big kings .. great coho master angler steelhead. Everyday was amazing battle after battle .. this channel helped us alot figuring out things. My son's predicting 50lb taken in the river this fall be pretty funny same charter catches it. Think it's great kids first salmon. Tons of bait we marked All week. All this rain great for bait but the fish probably won't stage out front long

buddy got his biggest same week 30 years of fishing there. the high water the warm winters, the bait increase more wild fish everything was right. got my biggest 34 pounds same summer off that north pier first wave of early run
