I can confidently say they are proper "City" sets. The previous ones like the airport, fire/police stations, criminal hideouts, vehicles etc. were accessories so you either had to buy Creator buildings or build your own.

Those new City sets are also definitely taking inspiration from the Friends theme, which has been killing it for a couple of years now.

Wow, that biggest one is a one expensive city set. I got used to the low pricing for city sets as small sets for kids except for the train ones. Also it feels a bit like cyberpunk city thanks to that overpass and curves.

I totally agree with your comparison with the "Ninjago City" look - and experience when building the 60380 City Center: lots of lovely details and variations in building techniques, never expected that in a CITY set. The 60365 felt much more "repetitive", although smaller... but I also like the "fresh LEGO CITY look" 😎

This is the first LEGO City set I'm interested in since 1996. It just looks spectacular and I'd have loved something similar back in the days when I was still a kid.

These sets do look fun. I don't have anything from City yet and I might be changing that, but there is only so much room for lego in my home, so not sure yet. Technic vehicles already take up a lot of room.

i have a question will the speed champions lego sets be coming out with new sets this year or no and if no when could we expect new speed champions to come out ? sorry if this is common knowledge I've only gotten back to lego recently and the lego speed champions really caught my attention so i dont know much.

@RacingBrick, I really would have liked see you try to make some combinations of the modules from the different sets that look good together. And/or combine the appartment building into the larger city set.

i love lego technic

i prefer the City-Space myself. so far, there's only been about 10 in the last 5 years. but i think they should make it a separate theme altogether.

Blech. Even though they are nice and smooth for cars and such, I find that I just can't enjoy brick-/tile-built roads and can only see them as filler for the piece count. :( Then again, I'm old and still pine for the days of baseplates (especially the cratered ones). :P

How come the big set is $200-€210, and the smaller one is $95-€85. Sometimes the price is higher in euro, sometimes is higher in dollar. If the euro is worth more than the dollar, than surely the euro price should always be a lower number than the dollar price..?

The more I look at them, the more I realize they are not that great. They use the same specialized pieces to build the module bases and the way that rooms are connected makes no sense.

And which parent can afford a 200€+ City set for his offspring? The millionaires who live in the hipster bunkers from LEGO's lifestyle pics? Sorry, but we are reaching modular building price ranges for some colorful, shallow, stacked containers with uninteresting building techniques. You can't seriously compare it to Ninjago City and the awesome creativity behind those models. These sets are more in line with the recent, also very weak, wave of modular Harry Potter sets. It's also sad that TLG has to make modular models to bring kids to actually disassemble their sets, which would otherwise end up collecting dust on the shelves. How about promoting complete disassembly and not just re-stacking? I see no "rebuild the world" mentality in these prefabs.

To be honest that cyclepath just looks like a joke, ether leave it out or make it the proper with in comparison to the road. (Witch is also to narrow, I know) it shows how little people care about cyclists safety
