Swift, Perry, and Spears have nothing on these rockin blues-luvin ladies. The music scene has needed these two like hell needs ice water. Rebecca and Megan are bringing back the REAL DEAL!
The women that you mention are merely showbusiness products. The Lovell sisters are real, authentic musicians. They are poles apart and in different worlds.
I do not agree. Those you mentioned just happened to be playing another genre of music. You never know Perry could play a mean blues guitar when she's not doing her pop thing. I once met a guitarist with a rap band. Man he could play guitar like Vai and Joe Pass. Who would have thought. He was a Berklee grad.
Isn't it great to have so many younger female Blues singers and Guitarists - Larkin Poe, Samantha Fish, Danielle Nicole, Ana Popovic, Sadie Johnson. I;m sure there are many others. Looks healthy for the future.
Love to see the younger generation kickin' ass like this. One great performance!!! This is real music, not like that shit these "SO CALLED" mega stars of today!!!
So good to see the blues continue. I'm 75, grew up outside of Chicago and saw many of the old guys (including Su n House and Fred McDowell who I jammed with one night). Also grew up with Butterfield and the great Mike Bloomfeld. These enthusiastic young women offer some hope for the future of this vital music.
i am speechless, they getting down big time. i wanna see Rebeca and Megan in the next Eric Clapton Crossroads Festival. go Larking Poe, you are the best. greetings from morocco.
Holy ****!!!! I would NOT want to be the next group on stage after that performance. Unbelievable talent - those power vocals and screaming slide guitar just blend so well. Their concerts must be mind blowing.
A band has not given me butterflies, the first time ive heard or watched them in god knows how many years, wow blew me away, keep going larkin poe amazing!!
The first time I heard this song was the version by Muddy Waters & I've lost count of how many covers I've listened to over the years. This is the best one yet.
This is the second only song I have heard from ya'all. Now I'm mystified. Fuckin love it. I'm old school(58) and You just take me back home. Thank you for being you soooooo much. I shall follow:)
Very, very good, Rebecca and Megan, you guys have the blues deep down in your souls. Wish I had been there to see you guys live! Maybe some day in the future I'll get the chance, sure hope so...
I have been following them since they were the Lovell Sisters playing Bluegrass festivals with their other sister Jessica on fiddle. They have been through a lot of changes. all good.
