Je suis totalement d'accord avec toi, meinhendl. No need to show off with spectacular light effects to be remembered, no need to be on the biggest of stages ! Talent is what matters only ! Performance matters, heartfully resented interpretations matter. Commitment to the music, lively music, is all that counts. And they totally embody all of that from the very beginning of their career. And I consider they started proving themselves to the widest audience when they started to record these numerous covers. I lost my belief in God's existence when I was a teenager, but I now consider myself profoundly agnostic, though. However, I'd love to be a believer ! (I know this phrase echoes with a lot of Gospel lovers ears). If I had kept this belief lively inside, I'd thank thee with a prayer for the sake of all these talented people I discovered all along my life. But I'm no believer anymore, and I can only tell about my curiosity and my interest for instrumental and vocal performance as a motivation to cheer such artists, to encourage them, and express my gratitude for they did such a beautiful and impressive job :) It's so nice to have such talents on my ears. And after 6 years focusing on the Americana, I found you are spectacularly numerous to share that precious gift ;)
Julie Meyers, personally, I wouldn't excactly say so about them (except I consider they are the best female Progressive Rock artists of their genera ... eeer ... well, ever, ok ?). I'm too eclectic to neglect all the artists from so much different genras I discovered to pretend they are my alpha and my omega 😁 Try to give, someday, an ear to the Rainbow Girls, to John Craigie, to Lake Street Dive with Rachael Price's amazing voice, to Danielle Nicole, to the Oh Hellos, to the Teskey Brothers, to the Tedeschi Trucks Band, to Wild Child with Kelsey Wilson, to the Black Pumas, to Mandolin Orange, now called WatchHouse, etc ... Justin Johnson, The Brothers Comatose, AJ Lee, Nathaniel Rateliff, The California Honeydrops, I can't stop 😂 Hope you'll always allow yourself to search for new sounds ! Music is such a thrilling, naturally smile bringing medium !
She nailed that intro like a boss! The steel player also nailed the riffs during the chorus and her solo was perfect!! Shades of the late great David Lindley! You ladies rock!!!!
I saw that pick and was thinking... "Maybe she has a little trick up her sleeve, because she's got to know the pick is in the strings!". That was fantastic! Really enjoy what you two do!
What talented musicians, at last real people without diva pretentious airs. You rock, love all your music..and Megan impresses me with her cool and these steady hands, a real treat watching you both play..I'm a new fan for life🎉😊
It's amazing 1. How many talent and good musicians there are out there. Great fun 😊 2. Some music just never die . Long live rock'n roll, long live Chuck Berry!
Heard you numerous times but when that voice kicked in it still blew me away. Don't think I've seen the pair of you look happier.... lets have an album of 50s classics... that slide gives a whole new slant. This is brilliant.
@@frankboyd. Just like Janis Joplin did, Rebecca likes to say provocative things. Do you remember when she talked about sacrificing rabbits before their shows during the Audio Tree interview? Love it when Megan said, "We don't do that!" Megan is always the one to keep things grounded.
That's the most fun I've ever seen you two have, and I saw you in person in Minneapolis (and I'm old enough to have seen Mr. Berry play that song in person, too) - and you never lost the groove in the process. Pretty amazing…
Smiling from ear to ear, when you're having fun and doing what you love the sweet sound of happiness fills the air. I'm 68 years old now, been playing since I was 12 and never had any obstacles or boundaries forced upon me, of course life got in the way with a couple marriages which began suffocating my musical freedom to play the guitar and simply jam my heart out. Now I'm once again completely free living alone with a house full of guitars and amplifiers ( foot pedals galore ) I consider myself an unsupervised adult, my fingers are a little bit slower but the music inside of me has never died. My neighbors I'm sure are thinking there is a band practicing somewhere, it's just me completely out of control with my backing tracks, but I must admit that my fender double reverb does sometimes gets moved up a notch and starts to vibrate the pots and pans. Never allow someone to steal that spark inside you Julie, enjoy your journey for all it's worth, even when you're sad there's music inside you to explore and bring forth, sometimes that's the most beautiful of all. You'll know you're in the right groove when you feel a tear start to develop & your heart moves inside your chest. Hold tight onto the handrails of your journey, the ride will be amazing with your head lifted high in your eyes sparkling in the breeze. Stay blessed and keep safe in these crazy times we all find ourselves in, a single note can sometimes be the beginning of a symphony. Danny in Texas.
LMAO... been there done that with the pick. At least now I will laugh and know I am not the only one. You ladies are going to single handedly bring good rock n roll back to the world.
two sisters in the wind i love Larking Poe sisters from differently plays and High level from talents guitarplayers made in u.s.a . thanks MISS'S .jackyfan 👉👍💖 great cover from CHUCK BERRY.R.I.P. thanks Julie from post.
Keep on sharing anything you consider worth listening to with us. In France, the kind of music I'm interested in doesn't find its way through people's ears. I know nobody that cares about Americana in my surroundings. They are familiar with what radio brought to them, but know nothing about what's played today by the latest generation of musicians. So I'm pleased I found people that appreciate the kinda sound I use to listen to :)
I'm so glad that the lovely Lovell sisters are still doing these videos. I binge watch them often. They sound amazing and its raw. Honestly, besides being very talented they are just F'N adorable on top of that.
Really - is there a schedule somewhere ? Camden is pretty rough for me as I used to work in Gibbstown - do they ever play the shore area ? Best Wishes for a Happy Healthy New Year - Phil@@JulieMeyers
Looking forward to welcoming rebbeca and Megan back to the October bound a brilliant night ! Rebbeca and Megan live oh so right ❤ a awesome delight ❤🇱🇷🎸🎵🎸🎵
Saw them open for Bob Segar a few years back (hence Megan's t-shirt). So good I went out the next day and picked up their album, Peach. Keep on rocking' ladies!
Now that is a professional. I saw the pick and wondered when she would realize it was there. Lol Great performance anyway. Love it and thank you for sharing.
My granny would make up her own old sayings. Like she'd say something like, "As the old saying goes, that dark cloud makes me think it may get stormy this afternoon."
Rock and Roll is supposed to be fun. You passed that test with flying colors. I smiled the whole time. The lead and the fills were right there. I rather enjoyed the whole thing!
