IT and Joey D for me. Along w Rodman. But I associate him more with the goat Bulls team. But C and Rip and Wallace was a squad too. Imma NY’er but was definitely rooting for the Pistons lol
Billiups was coached by Rick Carlisle and flip Saunders I’m sure he had nice things to say about those two knowing that KG was coached by Flip and KG had a good relationship with billups.
Coaches like Larry are not wanted in the NBA anymore. This just my opinion... Most of the league is black and I'm sure most of the players come from single parent house holds, raised by women. The controlling, ultra disciplined, unrelentingly desire to win most young black NBA players are not used to from men period. The league want teachers ( coach friends) not obsessive generals. I'll land my plane with this... If hard coaches came back to the NBA you wouldn't have bad young teams. Young men need guidance on a professional level. Also young bad teams wouldn't be so bad if veterans went there to show them how to win.
@@terrenceliburd8655 idk if your black or just trying to be racist so I don’t know how to truly correct u but I will say that this is wrong a far ignorant.
@@terrenceliburd8655 Most of the league ALWAYS BEEN BLK and too sit here and think this generation of NBA players don’t have the family unit intact shows the 60’s mindset that you live in .. Pop is one of the strictest coaches EVER and he’s still going strong .. please stop commenting on situations you clearly know jackshit about
@@OpinionsOnly979 70% of the black community is headed by single black females. In this year's NBA draft watch closely to thee top ten draftees. How many of those "young black men" have fathers? In fact the NFL draft is sooner. Those players once their drafted they have family and friends around them... And in their post draft media interviews how many black fathers do you see? You'll see unckles, brothers, cousins, but very few fathers. Maybe some stepfathers... but slim pickings of actual fathers.
Still don’t understand why he left us to go to NY makes no sense. He finally had the team he always wanted and left after going to back to back championships and winning 1 in his 2 seasons coaching us smh
They should've ask him the difference between Larry Brown and Rick Carlisle the got the same amount of championship except Brown won with Rick's team .
I remember being in the Boston Garden (Fleet Center), where Chauncy was fouled on a last second 3pt shot, and had to make all 3 shots to tie the game and put it into overtime. I stood up in my Pistons jersey and Yelled, "All 3 guaranteed". The dirty looks I got after Billups made all three shots was insane. Pistons went on the win in double overtime.
Naw pistons were up 2 Rasheed Wallace left Big shot bob open and he hit that 3pointer with only seconds left for the spurs in game 5 of the finals and we lost by 1 had we won that game we’d be up 3-2 going into game 6 which we won series over … that game 5 loss changed everything
@@keithdior1657 I remember it like it was yesterday I was pissed 😤 🤬in the time out b4 the shot larry brown said DO NOT DOUBLE TEAM MAN TO MAN Sheed came out and doubled left horry open tayshawn had to try and come over to contest the shot but he was just a lil too late RU-vid it you’ll see it happened just like I said
@@dve5167 I know I was agreeing with ya but the play I'm talking happened before when we had the lead with under a minute he hit two back to back 3s lol
