Larry Cansler & Fran Jeffries - "Gone Now" (1968) 

It was a transitional time between the studio orchestras and "wrecking crew", where there was still orchestral arranging mixed with the new rock/pop arranging. I love the blend. Now the studio orchestras are a thing of the past (as are "wrecking crews", actually). Larry Cansler himself expressed to me in an email 20 years ago that he regretted the loss of the studio orchestral era.

The voice does have that Shirley Bassey “Goldfinger” thing. Good point.

Glad you liked it, Harry. My posts of Larry’s music never gets much interest from my viewers but I still plan to keep posting it anyway. Haha.
