Larry is a legend and a true gentleman. He was a studio fixture starting around 1970, doing multiple sessions daily. It's hard to name a superstar that he hasn't recorded with. In 1988 Larry was shot through the neck by a juvenile who was never caught, it took him two years of painstaking rehab to speak or play again. The negative comment below is pathetic.
I've watched a bunch of his demos over the past two years. He's not out of practice, he has some sort of shaking hand problem. I wouldn't be surprised if he can't play at all in another year or two.
