To me, Larry Carlton has always been THE Master of Guitar, but what an endearing personality he has too.

Always recognizable. A great legendary guitarist and the tremendous amount of substance that goes with him. Ear candy. Thanks for sharing.

Class. Larry is a giant Fusion guitarist, a master of melody and feel, never a wasted note, always playing for the song. Great Big Band and arrangement.

This video establishes thata person with the appropriate training, experience and people skills can be an incredible musician. It’s also nice that the person is a classy gentleman, who treats people well and presents himself well. You can be true to yourself and be an excellent musician. You don’t have to be from the other side of the tracks or be a lush to be successful. The feeling comes from your heart whoever you are and whatever you have.

We moved to LA in our late 30s. This song so much captures our incredible LA experience. Puts me right back driving to Pasadena.

Larry’s Tone is just sublime. The guitarist’s guitarist. As good as it gets.

Larry is my favorite guitarist. I've seen him play bebop in the traditional way, and then it in the modern way. He's the best.

I just started listening to Larry Carlton. This is a great introduction. I should also mention this is my first time hearing SWR Big Band. They sound awesome.

I've been an LC fan forever but I'm really impressed with that band. The trombone section is out of this world. A fantastic mixing/recording job. You can pick out your favorite flavor of instrument and clearly hear it.

Amazing... love him. Nobody like Larry Carlton.

When you compare this recording to one in the 1990ies, Larry is definitely playing way less notes per minute these days, but the music makes more sense now. Great to see even a musician of this caliber mature over the years. And of course the hair is much better than in the 90s.

Larry Carlton cela fait plus de 40 ans que je l'écoute je l'ai vu à Paris plusieurs fois en concert j'ai tous ces disques bien sûr.DIEU est descendu un jour sur terre et s'est déguisé en Larry Carlton !!!!!!!!!!!!! L'EXTRA TERRESTRE de la musique un de ceux ( avec l'autre DIEU absolu pat metheny) qui m'a emmené le plus haut dans les étoiles .que dire de plus sur ce génie absolu si ce n'est qu'en plus d'être un dieu c'est aussi une crème de garçon d'une gentillesse d'une humilité d'une disponibilité totale !!!!!!!!!!!! Who can come close to counting all the times & versions of this classic tune & never a bad version , Larry hits this one out of the ballpark & how cool is it to see him with a big band that is as tight as he is . Legend !!!! Not sure who the sheet music was for but it can't for Larry as he can play this with his eyes closed & it's funny as he never looks at it through the song. LOL He sure does not need that. Most likely for other compositions they did which i would love to hear the whole set.
