I’m late to the party, but watching and listening to Larry over the years changed my outlook on fishing for predatory fish like bass. He really used to stress that top water walking the dog action that predators find hard to resist. It changed my fishing. This was years before he designed the Whopper Plopper, perhaps the most successful topwater lure ever. That surface commotion draws em in and triggers that reaction strike. I’ve seen him on the Amazon or some other foreign locations throwing huge top water plugs that disrupted the surface. He’d walk the dog and get viscous strikes from giant predatory ambush hunters. It’s the most exiting way to fish to me. When Larry talks fishing, I listen! 😎🎣
A total Legend. I can't imagine what it would be like to interview this man. This dude has forgotten more in one nights sleep than most will ever know.. So humble, that it's beyond comprehension. This guy could own anyone in a conversation, yet he chooses not to. I think the mark of a true legend.
This man seams so humble I wish to God that I new him he would say man you ask way to many questions I got to get out of here but I would like to meet him

@LippinSmallmouth Haha he's Larry Dahlberg, he'd probably end up somehow catching a 14 foot sturgeon out of the Spokane! haha wouldn't that be somethin? That man can do anything, so it would probably go that direction. haha. Great interview!
@LayEmOut60 Im all about about bass and some muskie, but I fish for anything that I can. I am no larry D though! I want to meet him, and fish for something completely new to me.
