I met Larry Dunn in 1976 at a Hotel in NYC where I worked as a room service waiter. I delivered his meal and left, and I decided to check the signature to see who he was, when it read "Dunn", I freaked out, I went back, knocked on the door and asked "Are you LARRY DUNN, from Earth Wind and Fire" he said "Yes" my I hit the ceiling, I was 20 years old. Couldn't believe I had met one of my favorite all time keyboard idols. Would you believe, he gave me two tickets for EWF event in Madison Square Garden. I will forever remember both him and how kind and awesome he was to me. God bless him
What a Gentleman! My favorite group of all time. Took my kids to see them in 2007 in Detroit so they could experience what I grew up with in the 70s. To listen to Larry's interview and the connection with his wife is a tribute to his integrity. God has blessed you!

Larry Dunn is without a doubt one of the best musicians out there! EWF would have never sounded so great if it wasn't for him. his ride or die wife Luisa Dunn really showed a very real and tender spot of him. the most beautiful and realest couple ever! :)
Larry Dunn was my favorite in the band. Never quite knew why until this interview. I knew he was directing the music and I wanted to be a musician because of him and the band but that never happened. His faith in God is very strong and it shows through the music he collaborated with the band. Amazing story how he met his wife. I'm currently reading Maurice White's book, an amazing story.
One of the best interviews ever. That one step when your down is to " Make Your Bed" it is the first accomplishment in our daily lives. Yes, I know there are those without beds and for that huge sad population I'd substitute beds with place you rest. Once you've accomplished that task, you have just proved that you can accomplish a task. Hopefully the flood gates will open up to you. I heard this from a Navy Seal and thought it was crazy until I started doing it. The end result is NO DAY IS AN FAILURE , IF YOU'VE MADE YOUR BED. I knew it was something special about Mr. Dunn when I first heard earth wind and fire for the first time, I would always gravitate to his photo on the album covers, he reminded me of a very special big brother in my childhood, and also reminds me of one of my best friends spiritually, ewf, probably the greatest band of all times🙏
