Aside from the great song... what a wonderful message.. We do have FAR more in common than we don't but sadly we're constantly being divided and pitted against one another. It's quite frustrating as a 20 year Police Officer who carries your same values even though society does everything in its power to make us enemies. You're my brother, plain and simple and I love you, plain and simple. How about a new trend of just saying I love you to total strangers... I do it all the time., the responses are awesome and sometime quite funny. In my opinion- our Country was founded around Christian beliefs- but I feel like it was removed from schools for our protection somewhat . Hear me out- if we allow our children to practice one religion, we would have to allow ALL religions to be practiced. So if we allow prayer and Bible study we would have to allow Wiccan and Buddhist and Islamic beliefs too... in short. I separation of church and state was to protect us and parents need to instill these values at home. Also...I really enjoyed your reaction. I feel closest to God at the beach at night- thank you for your transparency
