I just want to know the planet where the people who gave this video a "Thumbs Down" come from....mmm... I know, its the planet of "Lost Soul, Rhythm and Groove!!"
I got goosebumps from this, brings back such precious memory's I't was because of Sly And Family Stone, especially Larry Graham that started my Music careerr
That was one of the first “Soul Beach Festivals” held in Aruba! It was broadcast on HBO a couple of weeks later. It’s since been a great yearly event on this Island up until the recent Covid-19 cancellations... but we been assured that it’ll be back! A funny thing about this particular event is that Funkadelic was also on the card that night and they were slated to be the headline act, meaning that they were to close the show with a bang. But they couldn’t quite excite the crowd like GCS did before them so, when it did finally air on HBO, they had edited Larry’s band as the closing act! Unforgettable!
i dont mean no harm when larry do the family stone medleys he never does the funky jams like sing a simple song, if you want me to stay, love city, runin away, you caught me smiling but one song i would love for the family stone to do live oneday is in time.
Exactly. If you want me to stay is my all time favorite song ever. But In Time is one of my 5 second favorite Sly And The Family Stone songs lol. Never heard it live before. Would've loved to see that drum machine played live as well. Peace to you! 🤘🏽🕶️💜
Yes he did play bass on some of the songs on riot. He overdubbed the parts the other band members played. Larry played bass on the songs "Runnin' Away, You caught me smilin' and Thank you for talkn' to me Africa.
