My husband and I had a small house wedding on February 14, 1981, Valentine's Day. This was one two songs we had at our wedding. The other was United Together by Aretha Franklin. They were so fitting for us because they told of our story, reconnecting after seven years during our junior high and high school years. My husband passed on June 5, 2014 at age 59. We were together a total of 38 years and married 33 years. Though he told me to enjoy and not stay alone, I've done that but it's not the same and I never wanted it to be. The person I'm with today is almost a replica of my husband and though I'm happy with him, I'm still mourning for my husband.
