This why these guys back in the day had my respect. He really should have sat out a yr or so nd did some minutes management but they weren't built like that then. Hurt or not they were out on that floor risking their careers to win this is why they get paid the big bucks.. these players nowadays play wen they want.

I absolutely lost my mind after this play and this win. Even though we didn’t win the title the run we had beating Miami with the last second shot then beating Indiana wow it was a fun ride

Man, those Paces were knocking on the door for over a decade. They just couldn’t get it done. LJ and Sprewell played out of their minds during that run. They would have unseated the ‘95 Rockets as the lowest seed to win it all. I saw this squad play the Lakers back in ‘96. Shaq was injured. They beat the Lakers in OT. Best game I ever saw. Not one of the all time best teams but definitely one of the coolest and scrappiest.

Larry Johnson may not have been the player he was in Charlotte but this 4-point play cemented his legacy as a Knick.

LJ was such a great Knick for the short time he was here, also was one of Van Gundys favorite players to coach, was just a leader.

That phantom call on Larry’s 3 was to make up for game 2 when they called a bogus foul on the knicks with seconds left in game ..and they were winning ..

Reggie was very dirty and crafty. He totally threw his knee into LJ. Absolutely a foul. And ball don't lie. LJ drained the free throw.
@tiltsf
@tiltsf 4 года назад
"phantom call" - sure, say it wasn't a hard foul, etc., but my man *left his feet* at the slight pump fake, and when LJ was making a move, that slight contact from the defender coming back to the ground is enough to be a hindrance to the offensive player...not all refs would call that, but when you leave your feet, a call like that can happen...

He was never a fan of LJ or the Knicks in particular. Even LJ's first year on the knicks, there was a televised game against the heat and Bill would criticize the knicks plays, and keep ranting on how much better Anthony Mason was vs. Johnson. So biased.

@mig50cc well if you know that he's not my son then you also know that as muslim we actually follow Jesus more then Christians, actually we pray the same way Jesus prayed and to the same lord to the father not to Jesus Jesus never said worship him he said he can do nothing with out the father so me and my son Larry Johnson is doing good with in following Jesus and his actual message and praying just like Jesus to the same one Jesus prayed to so iam pretty sure you didn't know that and Jesus is not God's son you should be focused on that information becouse lj not my son so as Jesus is not God son ,so please go actually study your religion, to get the correct understanding,.....(( fun snapple cap fact ,Jesus did not speak English, so the original gospel that's not changed is in the language Jesus spoke he wasn't white with blue eyes ,he was from the middle east,and last but not least he didn't worship or pray to him self he prayed to the one ,the one who chose him to be in marrie's woumb, thats whom Jesus worshipped the same lord as Muslims, so go study a bit more lil budy,to know the truth ,you've been lied to , may thy lord guide you to whats correct ameen
