You can't just say that. People have been harshly discriminated against for loving who they love; they're still being murdered even in the USA. They don't define themselves by their sexualities- they speak out and let the world know they're there. It's important for celebrities to come out, for example, because it makes other LGBT people feel seen. The representation in mainstream media is scarce and often inaccurate. Yes, it's damaging to the community when someone portrays themselves as nothing but their sexuality, but usually this isn't what they're doing- straight people just see it this way because they're not used to something different perhaps. The Dumbledore that SNL wrote to make fun of J.K. Rowling definitely is what you're describing, but it's for satire purposes because J.K. Rowling wouldn't know how to write a gay man, etc. Telling someone that they're acting too gay irl is kinda toxic, though- you don't know how long they've been in the closet, if they're just now enjoying being themselves and loving who they are, enjoying the culture. Please be more considerate of others' experiences.
