The issue literally comes down to math. The 2024 US defense budget is the 3rd highest ranked spending account of our Nation's spending, behind only Social Security and MediCare. Since all US employees paid into Social Security and Medicare, these options should be off the table. However, the 2024 NDAA includes BILLIONS of dollars for attack aircraft, vehicles and naval vessels. The USA cannot even protect it's own borders and yet we need more attack solutions? The defense budget needs to be paired down. The USA has not and cannot afford to be the World's police.

Mr Kudlow I respect you and your intelligence. I was in wholesale and retail sales for 50 years. Many of the profit margins you mentioned are considered the norms. However you and I both know that some of them are the results of creative bookkeeping. Gouging does exist. The people that are doing the gouging are the ones that laugh it out of the room.
