One thing I noticed about this small conversation between the two of them is that not once did Brian mention where he or his band had been nor did he try to brag or one up Lars. It shows how much class he has and respect he has for his peers.
@@avgjoegeek71 Rob Trujillo is worth a great deal and drives a Subaru, lol. None of that matters, anyway, but if I were rich beyond belief, nobody would know the difference except God. You can quote me on that.
If watching Brian Johnson so naturally hanging out with everyone from Lars to Dolly in his own gregarious way doesn’t put a smile on your face, you must be dead! What a top bloke.
I've been listening to ACDC for 35 years but I didn't know much about Brian. Him having his own show now is just amazing. He is the kind of guy you wanna hangout with, such a sympathetic guy.
Did you see the AC/DC interview on 60 minutes a few months back? Even my wife who doesn't really follow AC/DC (or hard rock/metal full stop) absolutely loved the band members and watched the whole interview with a smile on her face and said to me what lovely guys they are. I said yeah, they are very down to earth. Hope AC/DC and Metallica tour Australia again!
Haha! When Brian made that comment about the flags being nice mementos from the past I half expected Lars to go into dick-mode and say "I just told you this room is about the future. The map out in the hall is about the past. You are starting to piss me off."
True! But the reason for the flags is you can not go forward into the future unless you know where you came from in your past - they see the places they have been over the last 40 years whenever they are creating NEW songs for the future in that room. That, I think, is the point of the flags in there...
I had the honor of meeting and getting an autograph from Brian Johnson and Angus a bunch of years ago after a show, and they were 2 of the nicest ,down to earth people ya ever met. It was cold as shit out, and a little , dude. Future rocker about 7-8 years old came up to get his shirt sighed as was so happy to meet him that the little man said i wanna be just like you when i grow up and rock!!!. The little guy gave him the horns sign. The father was telling him that the little boy always played the back in black album all the time and made a cap like brian wheres. Brian and angus were touched by that and as the boy and his dad were leaving. Brian called the little boy back. Picked him up and took a pick with him and angus and brian took off his cap and gave it to the boy. Hes was so happy
Of all the rockstars I've known or even met, Brian displays an amazing inner strength to match his raw talent. Many of the best, will just slide away to their own deaths over hurt feelings, but Brian is a living inspiration. Shout out to Lars too, but Brian's track record for walking through shitstorms and singing his ass off hits me where I truly live.
Imagine going into HQ everyday, looking at all those flags from all over the world, must be so inspiring. Having the love from the fans even when they're not in the room with metallica, so special.
Brian Johnson has always been the every-man who just happened to find his way into one of the most iconic rock bands in history. Such a genuinely nice dude, makes me love AC/DC even more.
When Metallica hangs up the gloves or when all have said their prayers this should become a museum. How awesome would it be to get lost in a place like that... All the memoriabilia. Such an amazing place!
Brian ........what a great guy. No reason whatsoever to be humble but he is still the same guy he was when he started with Angus and the guys in the 80's. Definitely on my top 10 have a beer with list.
I love metallica for ever . I took my kids to their first concert in New Orleans and they love it.they were so young . I love the fact that LARS mention HONDURAS . YEAAA LARS!!!! YOU ARE THE BEST DRUMMER M SOUNDS SO POWERFULL.. METALLICA WILL KICK ASS COR EVER .
Brian - what an absolutely lovely bloke. An integral part of the biggest rock band on planet earth. So humble and down to earth that you wouldn’t even know it💖
I loved this series when it was on. Brian has such a naturally warm way with people it was always a pleasure to watch. Even the Dolly Parton episode was a treat and a pleasant surprise. Well done Bri, another series please ; - )
I cannot tell you how happy this makes me. It's so cool seeing musicians from other bands experience another band's universe. Like with Joey Jordison played with Metallica.
Thank you Lars, thank you Brian. This actually makes me extremely proud and happy to be one of a legion of followers of rock and metal bands. Brilliant. Thank you.
The two times Brian was on Top Gear UK were two of my favorite episodes. He's a down to earth, funny, and charming guy. The kind of guy you'd chat up at the bar with for hours. A guy who could become your best friend so easily because he's just that nice and caring of a man. Be more like Brian.
Brian, in the mid 1980s I owned a rehearsal studio in San Carlos CA and had the pleasure of renting out a Sunday morning slot to Metallica just before they became famous. I should've hung around and watched them rehearse if I would've known what was to come!
@@MichaelGiordano777 ACDC isn't as popular, good at their instruments, or entertaining as Metallica. Are you seriously pretending Hetfield isn't a better singer than Johnson?
@@redrick8900 Jesus, your comparing apples and oranges. Sure, theyre both kind of similar... but they arent the same. AC/DC is (on a global scale) more popular than metallica pop culture wise. Like yeah, you have Metallica here and there, but there are so many movies with back and black, and just AC/DC in general, its hard to talk about them all. But I also love metallica. Creeping Death is one of my favourite songs, especially live. Both Metallica and AC/DC are great bands, but they shouldnt be compared. They arent the same kind of music. And hell, I could say the same about metallica being popular in the 90's. The last BIG BIG hit metallica had was Enter Sandman back in 91. The last BIG BIG hit AC/DC had was also in 91, Thunderstruck. Your arguements dont work.
Who else is astounded with how Brian can get that unique singing pitch with a very deep masculine sounding voice? Does it come naturally or did he do years of vocal training? WHAT'S HIS SECRET!?
@Chris Waters He's not belting or screaming at all. It's vocal fry while using head voice and falsetto. It actually started out by trying to mimic Bon Scott's sound and has come into his own sound. I suspect it was partly to mask the pitchy nature of trying to match Scott.
@Chris Waters Not at all. It's just falsetto and head voice with a natural relaxed vocal distortion technique. He's explained himself and any decent vocal coach can teach you how do it.
@Chris Waters Has nothing to do with ears. He just did back in black with the Foo Fighters, watch his neck when he sings, you can clearly see it's not tight like it would be for a scream.
Absolutely loving the insights into you meeting all the legends in the music industry put the question that is on everyone's lips Brian is when are you going to be on the new Top Gear on BBC One TV oh yeah🏁🏁🏁
@@bill2527 that’s like your opinion dude! Music is a subjective and personal experience. Stick to what you like and let others stick to what they like. It’s not a playground competition, let’s put on our big boy pants and be adults.
@@bill2527 I didn’t get butthurt at all. Just saying that music is subjective and saying “X band is better than Y band” is a useless comment since everyone has their own tastes. I am not getting defensive man, I think that’s you. All I said was it’s not a competition.
Que imagenes!!! 2 verdaderos mounstros, grandes entre grandes!! Larga vida a ACDC y Metallica, me encanto que debajo del mapamundi tengan la bandera de Mexico! Y Lars la menciono con mucho orgullo!!!
I think Accadacca once fired a bass player for being too tall. Shorties have the advantage of a shorter space between their brains and their hands, and greater power to size ratio meaning they can belt out controlled vocals.
One reason Brian fits so well into the band. His humble attitude and no bullshit personality is exactly the same as the other members of AC. Even those that have passed.
This is the greatest moment in history that Brian of Ac /Dc and Lars of Metallica are hanging out with each other and I just wondered how talented they were back in their respective bands of hard rock and heavy metal music history
0:42 That "Not Quite" hurts real bad till date. It was when their show in Delhi, India was announced cancelled back in October 2011 just an hour before they were supposed to step on the stage. Friday, Oct 28th it was. Still have the physical copy of the ticket.
I've watched a lot of videos that tend to dump on Lars, but the truth is, the more I watch all of their videos, the more I like him. He seems like a guy who just loves his life and is having a great time. I don't care if he's the best drummer or the worst drummer, he seems like a great human and that's all I need. The rest is just details.
