There is a meme out there of a road sign. One of those that's green and welcomes you to another state. The sign in the meme says: "Welcome To East California" . I've been in Nevada for 30 years, and have watched the cost of housing balloon with the influx of CA pseudo escapees. They're, incrementally, turning that meme into reality.
I'm paying $2900 and praying it doesn't go up when my current lease expires. Positioning my family for two options; buy a house if these prices normalize or move out of Nevada altogether.
News to whom? We know it isnt worth that to live here. The cost of living vrs pay, verses what an employer can pay are not in synch because of real estate greed. I do not blame all real estate people, mine may have raised mine by 600 dollars, but that is cheap compared to some.

Shouldn’t apartments and home rents been kept at affordable prices? You are not going to get people who bought homes for cash to work your tourism jobs. More stadiums but no workers.
Still can’t believe how much this state pays while bringing in billions.. I couldn’t even afford the car insurance as a caregiver at$10/hr ! don’t need more expensive stadiums 🏟 I mean, last in education too? Can’t even pay teachers the right salaries !
