A Las Vegas tourist said she is planning to file a lawsuit against a tattoo shop after she received a tattoo from an artist who did not have a valid body art card.
@@whereswaldo9089 I'm a girl not a bruh. I do clean myself but a tattoo artist must clean the area with water-diluted green soap to keep down the chance of infection. He was working on my back and so I didn't notice. Shit happens.
i got my left sleeve in Japan and a few years later got my right sleeve in Thailand. lines and color are way better and cost less than the Los Angeles shops that do rich kids ink
@@coffeecool5190 I got my full back piece in Houston Texas. Idk why she approve the stencil before he put it on her. I have about 15 from all over the us from East to West lol.
Because the place has great reviews. Why would a tattoo shop in Vegas be any different from a shop somewhere else? Where do the locals go for a tattoo?
I don't know about that... But she should've stopped him when he failed to CLEAN THE SKIN FIRST! Instead she sat there for hours while he continued to add to the list of scary red flags. This one's on her.
@@dwightbullock8937I'm American. Try getting a passport & leave the U.S./Canada/Mexico for once in your life, there are 5+ countries in the EU with higher living standards.
She's a damn fool. She heard him talking before she sat to get a tattoo. The son also saw something was wrong but allowed his mother to have it finished. Smh, weird
So for almost 2 years without renewing they were still open??! Time to sue the state as well and whoever else is in charge of that. Also, def need to get tested.
Yeah, the health department in my state does yearly, randoms, and all complaints checked. Between that, insurance and rent, that's why tattoos are so insane expensive at a decent shop. Don't get me wrong it's a license to print money if you like long days but open flexibility schedule
Umm... why is no one pointing out the rest of the text messages??!! Did no one else read that sh*t?! Quote: "The shop owner just threatened to kill me." And, "just threatened to kill my entire family over this." I'm just shocked that the news highlighted the most uninteresting part of the messages wtf...
As someone who only has 2 tattoos so far, I can tell you the SECOND he took his gloves off should have been the second you walked away from this. A reputable artist will glove up and open needles etc in front of you. Who saw that he wasn't using ink? Who noticed he was sweating with dilated pupils? These were all warning signs to walk long before you did. Not saying any of this was right or her fault but a little personal responsibility helps.
You never know if the artwork you see on the walls is something they did or that someone else did. A lot of times, I see what look like transfers, so they have the main lines pre-drawn, and they ink you over or near the lines. And then they have to do any color or shading, and that's when they can royally screw up.
The fact that her son just started recording instead of telling the guy to stop so she could look at it tells me that either he was hoping to get his mom a big lawsuit payout from it, or he’s so messed up by too much social media that he doesn’t even know when to intervene in real life.
Or he was trying to get proof that the artist may have been intoxicated to include with their complaint. This country seriously lacks critical thinking skills. 🙄
@@cheesehead4670 He only needs a little bit of proof for that. He doesn’t have to film the whole train wreck. Besides, what’s more important? Getting footage of a disaster in progress or stopping the disaster in progress, which he could have done immediately by using his words? He could have gotten plenty of footage of the guy looking messed up after he told him to stop.
Mums in San Francisco used to be the spot.. not sure anymore. This dude Khalil was pretty famous for doing crazy good artwork and the bright colors and glowing stuff.
Getting a tattoo removed is a multiple visit procedure and is very painful. I'm glad you took it this far! I would get a lawyer to make sure the owner pays for everything including time off work. And pain and suffering!!!
I agree.......if their business license has been revoked, I would be concerned about the promise to pay for laser removal, as well as medical expenses (test for Hepatitis, doctor's visit, etc.). What a nightmare!!!
What a nightmare!!! I hope this woman gets to her doctor immediately for blood tests. There is NO EXCUSE for unsterilized needles, unsanitary conditions, no gloves and NO ONE checking their employees! A good tat artist is going to show you the needles being sterilized, fresh ink and run you through the entire process! There were so many red flags! His odd, strung out behavior being one!!!
Those tattoo scripted reality TV shows make this seem like it's true. Personally I think anywhere can and does have really good artists. But. This guy was hallucinating while doing the tattoo. I just don't even know why he'd think that was ok.
It's the fact that she had countless red flags, one after another, and she still didn't stop the tattoo. That is not the time to be "froze", meek, and passive. Tattoos are permanent. She was not comfortable from the beginning and should've put a stop to it.
I cringe hearing these news stories cuz there's always an aspect to the story we're not hearing about - I think she probably was partying drinking who knows
Some people really are afraid to call people out when they're being mistreated and it's sad 😔. You have rights to your own body! This guy knew that he had substance abuse issues but chose to try and fake it out and now he's marred up this women's skin! 😢 This upsets me!
She might not have known how tattooing works so she thought the end result would turn out fine, or she trusted the "artist", and of course the state of Nevada for granting the necessary permits to this "artist" to continue his works.
I’m a Critical Care RN, RRT. I had a patient who lost his arm from a tattoo that became severely infected. Another patient we had died from severe infection and ARDS from overwhelming sepsis, dirty tattoo.
I don't have any tattoos. After watching this, if I was going to get one it would be from someone who has tattooed a friend, where I could see what kind of work he does first. I would get a reference from someone I knew instead of trusting reviews online. Another thing...wow that gal had a lovely figure. Any tattoo on that body, no matter how well it was done would seem like a botched job as far as I'm concerned. I guess not all women understand that there is nothing more beautiful than a beautiful woman. No sunset, no sunrise, no mountain range, car, house, nothing can compare to a beautiful woman. Why cover that with ink? What a waste but that's my opinion.
when she saw he wasn't right she should have used common sense and walked away from him quickly. She chose to stay seeing a bigger and bigger mess so her son could film it, smart lady
The artists card should be openly displayed in the tatt booth just the same as a hair dressers liscence is displayed in their booth when cutting or styling hair. Also the shops bussiness liscence as well should be openly displayed at the front.
This is why you don't get a tattoo on a whim, or vacation. Vet these people. Visit the shop, look at portfolios. Jesus, you are lucky you don't get hepatitis. Enjoy the pain of removal.
I’ll admit I clicked this thinking it was just someone being dramatic and regretting a poorly done tattoo but this is way beyond that. Besides a civil lawsuit, why hasn’t this artist been arrested?? There’s got to be laws about tattooing under the influence or something. If there isn’t, there needs to be some made. He basically assaulted her with a tattoo gun. She didn’t sign anything and he didn’t do what he was supposed to so whatever services were supposed to rendered wasnt and instead she was physically assaulted IMO. The police should’ve been involved from the time the son realized what was wrong. I would’ve stepped out and called them right then. There’s a difference between drinking a few beers while being tattooed privately at home or a buddies house.
Okay, let me get this straight. He took his gloves OFF and you didn't get up and walk out???? How about even BEFORE that when he didn't clean the area or anything???? Halfway through is the only time you STARTED to notice an issue????? I think this is more on her. Granted that guy should never have been near a live canvas but she totally had all the signs that something wasn't right. I have 8 tattoos and have never had issues but I also either knew my artists extremely well or went to someone who I knew through a friend and were world renowned tattoo artists. Research the actual artists people.
How tf is that dude working in a shop!? Ive got work that blows thay shit out the water with a gutair string and cd player motor gun in prison. Smfh poor lady.
Is she worried the tattoo artist is going to send thugs to B.C to get her 😅. This has to be the most ridiculous face blur, they already know what she looks like.
She’s probably afraid of people recognizing her and calling her stupid for not stopping the tattoo when it was clear there was something wrong with the guy.
Not everyone has experience being around drunk or high people. They may have also felt unsafe speaking up if the entire shop was filled with weird, strung out men. Like come on
I’m so glad the spontaneous tattoos i wanted never worked out. I’m looking at an artist that I’ve been checking out for a year. This isn’t a minor art form. I’m not wasting my canvas on an impulse personally. (That’s huge work she’ll have to deal with now) :(
Now she's getting a tattoo, yeah she's gettin' ink done She asked for a '13', but they drew a '31' Friends say she's trying too hard and she's not quite hip But in her own mind, she's the dopest trip
The tattoo is still salvageable. Even bad tattoos can look cool. A pro can always turn a bad tattoo into a masterpiece. Maybe someone will jump in and work for free.
Getting a new tattoo while on a trip is a TERRIBLE idea. I am a Vegas regular. I have many tattoos. I have a regular tattoo guy at home who I love. i would never get a tattoo while on a trip because you have to take special care of it afterwards and you don't know who is going to tattoo you. Stick with someone you know and trust.
I felt bad for the owner as a lot of good businesses get in trouble for some bad employees. But the owner didn’t seem to oversee the business at all with all the basic administrative mistakes that were made. Like making sure all licensing and credentials were current! Hope this lady didn’t get a disease.
I’m 72 years old. I have zero tattoos and zero body piercings… And I don’t see myself getting any of that anytime in the future. I 100% do not understand getting a persons nose pierced. Every time I see it I say to myself… Don’t they do that to bulls? I don’t understand belly button piercings either. These are my opinions and I’m entitled to them. No, I truly would not mind a medium size very beautiful colorful butterfly that I myself with design. But it’s not going to happen. 😊
His whole family was threatened over a bad tattoo??? Oh please, cry me a river, maybe next time don't do tattoos intoxicated. And lady you can't tell when someone is intoxicated, you are partly to blame because you should have stopped it.
Sadly, with tattoos, you get what you paid for. You should look at the artist previous work before you get something done by them and it’s only when you’re comfortable doing it that you go through with it. Can’t sue an artist, unless you can prove that they committed neglect . You can sue because of a bad designer or a tattoo didn’t turn out well.
right? no stencil, no hey let me look at it? dry runs are normal to start off to get the reaction to the needle 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️i blame her just as much as him maybe she was drunk too
Oof expired state business license means the owner has no limited liability via the business protection and he is fully liable for all damages himself.
Systematic roadblocks like mentioned at the end should be a violation of consumer rights. We should be able to freely lookup online any business licenses that are legally required in every city, county, state. Period. It is time for transparency instead of shrouding businesses from the public.
