Just a bit of cleaning on the exhaust manifolds for my 1958 Cadillac #laser #lasercleaner #lasercleaningmachine1000w #lasercleaningmetal #lasercleaningmachine #lasercleaning
Thank you. (But it could have been done better since I was going a bit too fast. However it was my first time) Unfortunately I cannot remember what machine this was, however it was 1,000 watt continuous laser with 80% power. We use a 1,500 laser on our jobs and that is from SFX.
Absolutely, but be warned as the set up is going to run you back a lot. This unit I believe is $16,000 by itself for 1000w. However, you can get smaller units (including handheld ones) for cheaper if you’re looking for something a little lighter on the wallet. Additionally you will need a air compressor that hooks directly into the unit to keep the lens clean while in use, it’s suggested that you also purchase a vacuum model that will also soak up the atomized lead and dirt. You will also need a 250w power supply in order to run it as well, so a generator with that power availability is highly suggested. There are a few companies that sell laser cleaners that you can take a gander at on eBay. Some producers (not sponsored by, but would be nice to be) are @sfxlaser @plaser @laserphotonics amid other brands I’m sure exist.
You also should be aware of what you need to clean. There are pulse fiber lasers and CW lasers. There are also different beam shapes that will be imortant to note. CW lasers will be less expensive but will produce more heat into the substrate and more likely to damage. Pulsed lasers are more expensive but can have the parameters set to not damage the substrate. Unless your willing to spend around $250,000 for a 500 watt system you will have to go with a Chinese made one. Thats for a pulsed model. CW's are less as Explained in the other reply. Less watts means slower cleaning. American, German and other European companies are very high priced.
So far we have done four jobs, all of them are extremely happy. We had a customer that attempted to clean his entire chassis and did a good job of getting most of the rust and grim off. However, it took him 10 days to do it. We flashed it within 40 minutes for it and it’s not shiny and smooth.
Both yes and no on that question, we also invested in a CW laser cleaner 2kw, it´s kind of portable, so if you want to make it into a business i would buy both a cw fiber cleaner and a pulsed laser cleaner. i think within the industry and like cleaning away some types of grafitti or soot there is business and the laser cleaners are doing a great job, but don't compare them to sandblasting, you dont get that nice polished look since its very different methods
I bought a jnct 100w pulse laser cleaner and it is broken with only hours of use bad quality machine and the technical support is worst don't buy I loose usd 12.000
