so I am guessing this will take a couple of 12x24 inch boards?

Total material needed: 26x16 inches. But if you are using 12x24 boards, then 3 pieces.

What kind of settings do you use for the 3mm birch wood? is that similar to 1/8 mdf?

For 3mm plywood I use (for 100w co2 laser) speed: 40mm/sec; power: 61%. MDF is usually a bit harder, I’d lower the speed to 25-30mm/sec

What dimension would you recommend the mdf or wood board to be when making it in the laser engraver?

Overall dimensions of all part is 37x64cm. The largest part is 37x13cm. Just add a bit extra room from the sides.

Do you have to do any kerf offset to make the pieces fit snugly?

No, the files already designed with kerf in mind (for 3mm plywood). I've made some other thicknesses too (I send them on request).

You want a tutorial on how to design this kind of boxes? I use Illustrator, but any vector editor will work.

@@customcraftua Yeah, i want tutorial. I using coreldraw, i have no ilustrator, and my laser work directly from corel. I have chinese ruida laser. And i just started to learn. Tnx alot 🌹

Could you tell me where you got your wood. I am using Glowfordge PG medium Draftboard and they are not fitting without filing down.

We use Baltic birch plywood in our country we can buy it now … also we use native Ukrainian plywood as well
