John Parker I can't quite remember roughly 260mm wide and about 1200 mm tall the depth was about 160mm ish. Hope this helps

It does, however I noticed you answered the same question for another viewer, sorry for making you repeat yourself 😣. Any chance you recall the diameter for the holes?
@theislandworkshop8453

@@theislandworkshop8453 Waaaoooo, true craftsmanship. Looks amazing. Of course I'm now subscribed. Just to see your beautiful artwork & pure genius. Maybe one day I'll be half as good, albeit without lasers and some other top machinery. Many Thanks bud!!

Beautiful work and I have just subscribed to your site and you probably the first person that I signed up for their site after watching just one video but that was amazing . I live in Vancouver Canada and have been doing work for less than a year and love it cuz it seems to be relaxing and I wanted to do it for years but haven't had the time but now I do , favourite thing to make is wine racks and the plaques that are a.m. and p.m. coffee in the morning wine in the evening two coffee cups and two wine glasses in a set with it . Now I know you guys said in in your messaging to somebody else that you didn't know how much you had sold it for I just wondered if you had like a ballpark figure of what you might have sold it for because ' just being new two doing woodworking I try to if I attempt to make something that I've seen a kind of roughly try to have an idea of what to sell it for so that I don't make myself lose money by not knowing what the other person had sold there's for roughly . Well I look forward to your next video hopefully that'll be soon and you guys have a wonderful day . And sorry for being such a long . Thanks again Mike

thanks a lot for watching, i really need to get on top of making more videos. i think ball park it was about £300 but it was for friends who are customers so i think we did a better price for them. also if i were to make this again i would make it slightly different as it was quite labour intensive. as a rule of thumb we tot up materials, labour and for us laser times etc and factor in a 40% profit margin, hope that helps mate

yer i learnt allot, i would not use a flush trim bit, i would use a guide bush and a template. any way not bad for our first / second youtube video

New subscriber here, beautiful build mate well done maybe a sponsor could get in touch with you and give you some sharp router bits :) Great job!!
@theislandworkshop8453
@theislandworkshop8453 6 лет назад
rob riley haha yet that would be great. I don't think the flush trim bit method is the best though. Best to use it as a template and use a guide bush and cut all the way through. Thanks for watching. We have been super busy and so not uploaded in a while but have a couple of videos coming soon. Thanks

Am i missing something? Why cant you just use a hole saw and go right through all the boards?
@theislandworkshop8453
@theislandworkshop8453 5 лет назад
yer we did try that but hole saws arnt really that good at cutting through solid oak to that sort of depth, if we were going to do -this project again we would probably not bother with the flush trim cutter and just cut out the profile with a straight cutter.

Hello, can I know the bottle holder measures (LxPxH)? How many double axes and format? Good job!

how would you cut wine bottle sized holes into a tree stump?
@theislandworkshop8453
@theislandworkshop8453 6 лет назад
Yet this is a tricky one. You can buy 80mm or so forstner bits but you would have to make some sort of jig to keep it stable. You could use a holesaw but then you would have to chisel out the remaining material. So no easy awnser I'm afraid. Thanks for watching the video and good luck

What finish did you use?
@theislandworkshop8453
@theislandworkshop8453 7 лет назад
hi, i always use either a danish oil or a teak oil, for indoor projects, if its going to go out doors i use a uv osmo oil. here in the uk. i mainly use the Colron refined range (www.colron.co.uk/products/colron-refined-range/), i also usually thin it down for the first coat with white spirit so it really soaks into the laser engraving, thanks for the interest knightrosDetails
