G'day from South Australia ... subscriber #4 and long time supporter from Facebook. I have enjoyed the evolution of your brilliant site and hope you build a sustainable business from this.
Thank you for the video and I know you will get better, as you say in the video. I am in my two week trial on your site and have signed up for the Creator Subscription with hopes to use this to make wall art maps, ornaments, and other products. One of the products I want to make is Gol Course Maps and I was unable to accomplish this. In chat I received answer that only thing software does for golf courses in to show hole lines - but couldn't get it to do that. Are these active for all golf courses that the map can find - because I couldn't get it to work for me - but I could be doing something wrong. One other challenge I had is I was trying to map an entire island, so the primary roads and land don't connect to the border frame. As you indicated in the video, because they are not connected to the border they will be hangin out in mid air when they are cut on the laser and won't align like they should to the engraving part of the map or two the other layers. Any idea on how to layout maps for entire islands. Can you show that in a video? I really want this software to work for me and looking for ways I can accomplish what I need so that I can justify keeping my purchase intact at the end of the trial. Thank you.
thanks for the tutorial, going to try with a map this i did in Version two to test the waters in this new version & get used to it , im sure it going to all sink in the more i play hopfully with have test run map by the weekend . would love to see more trainning videos pop up soon . thanks for your dedication Andy the Aussie.
Following your video made the same issue due to following you and border color on land cut was black. But, when I went back and tried to change it to match my landfill theborder stayed black and wouldn't change initially after going back three times it did change. There is no override feature for that selection. Also the amount you have to zoom in to get deal with smaller roads, buildings, and pathways makes it hard to get a good map in rural areas. Your example of big cities doesn't work well with rural areas and islands. I think you are really in beta version and asking for a subscription before the product is fully backed and working well seems a little premature.
Hey, first subscriber and first comment. … Thanks for your hard work. It’ll be a steep learning curve for now. But I’m looking forward to it PS would you be able to increase the resolution on your upload? Thanks.
@EaselCat. We understand its not for everyone. Many folks are paying for their subscription for the year in their 1st or 2nd map sale, and as a result are able to create many more maps in a fraction of the time because of the speed Laser Map Maker enables.
We are tire of this model of bussines in software companys... they rent their program, they dont sell it. So, FTS!!! We need to change this, we dont like what Adobe its doing it, but we continut doing the same sh****.
@kokomedina it isn't always possible to provide software as a one time purchase. There are ongoing costs to host the platform and without a recurring subscription model, we cannot afford to keep things running. That being said, with the time we save folks, it more than pays for itself by streamlining a typically arduous and manual process. Its not for everyone thought, we respect that.
I'm struggling to get the right items combined on the same layer. I agree. doesn't get it for me. Unfortunately cancelling my subscription before trial period ends. Doesn't feel like it's going to make things much easier aside from the easy export, but if your layers can't be set up correctly, you have to adjust by creating more layers to combine later and that costs more credits. I hope it gets better. It's a great idea, but just not getting it done yet.
Now that i have played with this for a while post updates I fully support this software. Maps in minutes is a good motto. Tiling is awesome and if you get creative you can do golf courses.
