Funny thing is I usually struggle with accents and yours didn't throw me in the least.... though there's a good possibility its cuz I recently started learning Hindi 😁
Switching back and fourth between hindi and english was a little confusing, but this technology is genius, the water is a waveguide that directly contacts the material and evacuates the ablated material, its like a fiber laser on steroids, very impressive.
Who is not intrigued by this machine? Imagine it cuts through thick ordinarily unmachinable materials with breathtaking precision. Can you imagine the future machines,say 20 or 30 or 50 years from now? Will man manufacture people and not make them in bed ,100 years hence?
I'm pretty sure that's because this is an Indian channel. I've worked with a lot of Indians in the past and in my city(in Canada) we have channels on the radio that sound like this. It's not that they're speaking English badly, they're speaking a pidgin language with many English words.

This technology looks amazing. His voice reminds me of that 1 time when I met an Indian accountant in the park and he tried to fix my English pronunciation while my American boss told me that I have a good California accent. It was funny though 😂
@@ultralaserlab Please no offense. You would laugh if I were to (attempt to) learn Hindi, then use it to try and talk with you. I would bust my sides laughing too. India and the Indian people are gracious and hard working (quite intelligent too) and are good friends of the US (and those of us who live here).
For any who is confused by what he said, he is speaking English and hindi mix. Its not an accent Now adays indian speak in this manner to understand technical topics
I'm quite curious to compare and contrast the efficacy against EDM. Especially regarding hardness of materials. Water-jets were cutting edge (I meant that), at the time but slowly have been surpassed by many methods of technological machining. I'm glad to know I could still understand him😅
The accent is hard to understand but great video none the less. This is one of those innovative technologies that seems kinda obvious after it's been made. The way the water jet cools the material to prevent it from melting resulting in a cleaner cut is genius. Got a like from me!

Amazing piece of technology, cutting those tiny square holes with such precision and so cleanly is a testament to human ingenuity. Imagine where this can go in 50 years, if we’re still here and able to prosper as we can now.

Cool! Super high precision, straighter and more accurate cuts, cooling while cutting, less slag, and longer distance. I'd wonder what the additional costs was, but I'm sure most precision lasers or water cutters are already pretty expensive. I don't see this machine adding too much additional costs, am I right in that assumption?
I worked at nhbb they make aerospace ball bearings,the no burs after the cut takes away a step by not having to grind them off,also not burning the metal is big in the machining world
This is the first time I'm hearing of this technique and the precision is amazing. Also, please keep it professional and use only English, unless you mention Hindi in the title so people know what to expect.

Out of all the accents, gotta say Indian English is one of the most challenging one to listen to, maybe just one step under the Japanese English, I can't get used to it no matter how long I have been listening to it.

No, the water jet is low pressure, it's purpose is to guide the laser, allowing for a better working distance. At least that's what he said in the video.
@@ultralaserlab a yes is not the answer they are looking for. They were asking about engineering. They were asking whether the machinery was designed for high pressure. Answering that question with a "yes" is misleading, and you do yourself and your product a disservice. A "yes but no" is no better. It tells the questioner you don't care about their question, in addition that you don't understand them, (or are only knowledgeable in marketing, not in your product/customers' needs, and want to do some brain games, or you are using an automatic or low quality translation service), it also creates confusion in which the actual answer is. A good response to this is "This is a low pressure system, and the water in the system in quintessential but the water isn't doing any cutting, the water is more of a guide for the laser, as well as a coolant for the part, and cleaner for the cut. While the laser is off you could put your finger through the water it wouldn't hurt you."
The guy is speaking in *Hindi* ( one of the languages spoken in India) *while* *using* *English* *for* *technical* *terms* , mixing languages is common in India.
I did my masters in manufacturing technology in college though I don't practice it in my career. I intrested in knowing the energy distribution between the laser and the micro jet. Looks like the laser is doing the heavy lifting and the water just acts like a sleeve.
Water being in laminar flow pure and filtered will trap the laser beam inside the water jet due to complete internal refraction. The laser light won't diffract due to this. So you get a very precise cut and also cooling at the cut.
immediately find a speaker for english speaking areas. this is a big problem. look at the comments, half the comments on the technology video are about the speaker. sorry mate, i'm here for the first time today, watched a couple of videos, subscribed to the channel, and the speaker is the bigest and only problem. good luck in future work
