I am thinking of buying this in 2watt version of Sanwu striker in the future but I am afraid regulations is very strict on high power laser pointers.. I need to make sure and check if this laser is illegal in many countries..
Thank you, I appreciate your comment. I understand that in some countries the importation of high-power lasers is regulated. Fortunately, in our country, there is no problem with personal importation. The www.sanwulasers.com 525 nm 2000 mW that you are considering has a small amount of information and it is not clear whether the output is reliable or not, so if you want to know the details, I recommend getting the information in advance at www.laserpointerstore.com. (Sanwu does not sell laser pointers directly and no web sales page exists. The two stores listed above are both retail stores.)
i am from south korea so this product is illegal here but I want to use this to point out stars, starting fire in camp, lighting cigars and do some experiments.. Anyway thank you for your reply and i hope it helps..
Thank you, I appreciate your comment. The manufacturer of laser pointers, SANWU, has no web shop or brick-and-mortar stores. The Chinese retailers selling SANWU laser pointers are laserpointerstore.com and sanwulasers.com, but I don't think either retailer has a brick-and-mortar location. I recommend asking laserpointerstore.com and sanwulasers.com if you can go to China and buy directly. (In my opinion, it is not possible to pay for the product directly and receive the product directly.) If it is possible to buy and sell directly, can you still go through customs when returning from a neighboring country? I am sure that products regulated in your country will be inspected by customs. I don't know much about laser regulations in your country, but the above agency often sends lasers in two separate boxes. I don't think it violates laser regulations if they are delivered in separate boxes.
In South Korea, it seems that anything above Class 1 and Class 2 output is prohibited. There seem to be many other regulations, such as the prohibition of lasers with switches that light continuously. www.kats.go.kr/content.do?cmsid=239&_dc=1530543211668&mode=view&page=16&cid=22969 However (although it is not a SANWU product), if you look at the reviews of AliExpress etc., many Korean users are buying lasers with an output of more than 1mw. Looking at them, I think there are many laser pointers from China to Korea with an output of more than 1mW going through customs. If you are not sure if it will reach your country, there is one good way. You might want to ask laserpointerstore.com and sanwulasers.com "Have you sent products to Korea? Have you ever come back from customs in Korea?." It's up to you to decide your order based on that answer.
yeah i have ordered high power laser from ali express in Korea and it passed safely and arrived here.. I don't think if sanwu striker laser that strong will be able to ship to Korea and what i want is the 2 watt green version of sanwu striker that i mentioned earlier in the comment..
@@Alienworld2660 We can't uncertain, I think that if the products from AliExpress arrived without any problems, the products from SANWU will also arrive without problems. Neither store will put a label on the packing Materials to identify the product name or the output of the laser (I've never seen it before). But just in case, it would be safer to check something like "Have you ever shipped a product to Korea? Have you ever come back from customs in Korea?" at laserpointerstore.com or Sanwulasers.com. This is off topic, but ...You seem to like the 525nm(Green) 2000mW SANWU "Striker". The 525nm(Green) 2000 mW Laser Rangers, which are slightly more compact and have magnetic dimming switches, are also novel. The 525 nm (Green) 2000mW laser diode manufactured by Nichia Corporation of Japan is used. We will not mention the product numbers and characteristics of Nichia's diodes in the comments, but if you know the characteristics of the 2000mW and purchase it, it would be fine. If you think laser pointers are best if they're expensive and high-powered, you're wrong. And a 525nm laser in the night sky wouldn't make much of a difference if you saw the difference between 1600mW and 2000mW with the human eye. The most important point is the characteristics of the laser diode. We only technical answer questions for those who have subscribed to our channel on an ongoing basis. (However, we do not give technical answers that would mislead other viewers in the comments section.) I hope your product selection and import goes well.
Thank you, I appreciate your comment. Yes, The 300mW laser on the far left is DPSS. The other 500mW, 1000mW and 1200mW lasers are DG (Direct Green/Direct Diode).
Thank you, I appreciate your comment. I believe the Sanwu Striker 525nm 1200mW laser diode is made by Nichia. The higher the rank of these diodes, the higher the output power, and there seems to be a large difference in output power between the ranks. We were fortunate that our 1200mW was equipped with a good one. And, Sanwu Striker 525nm 1800mW is a Nichia 1650mW diode we think. We own a Sanwu Striker 525nm 1600mW and it had an output of about 1758mW. I think the output of the laser diodes used in laser pointers is something of luck.
@ABC science japan I was hoping I can get a 2w green laser for my collection but those are extremely rare I'm gonna try the 1.8w and maybe I'll get lucky if it reaches 2w
@@ABC_science_japan 2w is the highest on sanwu laser, but I was saying if it was available in 3w. I've seen it somewhere, just the diode at £400 and 5w at £900 I have the challenger 2 in 1.8w. And 470nm in 5w.
@@miahmiah4841 Thank you, I appreciate your comment and the helpful information. I have looked for 3000mw 535nm Green laser diode in MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC, ROHM, Panasonic, SONY, SHARP, NICHIA,USHIO, HAMAMATSU, Fujikura, OSAM, Fiber Labs, THORLABS, US-Lasers inc, PhotonTec Berlin GmbH, Photodigm, inc, QD-LASER, etc but could not find any. But £400 or £900 for a laser diode alone is incredibly expensive. Given the amount of heat generated, I would not be inclined to purchase it even if it existed. However, a laser pointer store in China that disguises its output sells a 3000mw 520nm Green laser pointer. Those outputs are fake.
