I would love to have seen the photos in side-by-side. Also, they need to be held for a longer time. And, again, I would like to have known her age. What is the recovery time for this procedure? Thank you! 👍🏻🥂

The recovery time is typically 10-14 days and requires complete protection from the sun for many weeks.

How many treatments?

This is a deep resurfacing performed while the patient is under anesthesia. Therefore, only 1 treatment will last for years.

Considering the long term benefits, most patients feel that this procedure is a good investment. Because this laser penetrates deeper than non-surgical devices, it requires an OR setting with anesthesia. This can increase the cost but there are not multiple treatments as with most non-surgical options. The cost is typically $2000-$5000 depending on the areas treated.

We use the Erbium Sciton laser for skin resurfacing. Please give us a call at 757-687-1900 if you would like to schedule a consultation. Winter months are ideal for laser and avoiding sun exposure.

These videos are excellent, but they always feature only women. There may be more women seeking these treatments, but there certainly are men too. Please, include some guys receiving these treatments too, and not always only the ladies

Thank you for pointing this out. Men can also be good candidates, however most of the time laser is not needed because their skin is typically thicker especially around the mouth because of beards. Also this laser is followed by several months of pink skin and women are better able to conceal this with make up.
