@@sethhorst6158 if you switch the hot and neutral wire around all it will do is change rotation of fan motor to the correct way and it will be safe. It would be like factory intended it to be
The blade physically can't be put on backwards with the sleeve for the shaft only having an opening on one side and the other being the closed off center of the hub.
This is not surprising. I have the cyclone fan, and it rachets very loudly. My neighbors downstairs complained about the noise. The next problem is opening up the fan, to clean it. Lasko made such a high tech fan, forgetting to make it user friendly, for cleaning. The only and best feature is the amazing wind force.
