The need for a hospital to serve residences far from Capital City's hospital become crystal clear when a local resident dies, and when Uncle Petrie is hurt by a falling wall he is building. TRIVA: This is the final episode that has George Chandler ("Uncle Petrie") who was the only cast member to move from Season 5 to Season 6. His character is written out in the show in this episode as him starting a business elsewhere and no longer living at the Martin farm. Lassie history will relate that his character only received lukewarm reception from the viewers, and thus he was finally written out of the show and Mr. Cully, a very funny, and fun loving, neighbor (played by the great vaudeville actor Andy Clyde). Cully would later to become one of Timmy's best adult friends, a series regular who remained to the very end of the Timmy/Lassie years.
