I never knew how get to coyote season was going hunting but they are smart know but I like these fur liked its very harder than time winter and spring season it's been I never met coyote.

What a great way to control the coyote population! Can you imagine if you weren't taking out all those coyotes. Saving a bunch of pheasants and deer fawns

Since we take so many that way every year, I can imagine we have much long term effect on the population. But I’m sure it makes a difference on the prey species!

I like to predator hunt with my winchester sx4 and my uncle's winchester model 12 loaded with 2³/4 inch 12 gauge buckshot and hordany 12 gauge hevay magnum coyote 3 inch shells. You can use any size of shell in Texas.

Recently they have been trying to lower the number of hunters. As far as I’m aware, you have to know somebody to be invited

How many years have these hunts been taking place? Who monitors if there is a reduction in loss of farm animals etc? What is their goal in reduction? How and who determines the hunting area? Thanks for sharing this experience.

It’s a way to help keep the population in check. The farmers loose a lot of livestock every year to coyote’s.

I realize that your comment is a year old. But it's a false perception that most people think...that coyotes only are moving during the night. It's true that night is when they are most active. But many of them do also move from place to place, and hunt during the day.
