Glad you’re cutting down, as much as I love these videos, if it’s burning you out that’s a lot if it’s taking away from other things. When I attend cons as an attendee I’m exhausted after, so I can’t imagine doing so many cons and markets back to back!! Maybe you could look into ways to create passive income? Like classes about selling at markets and stuff? Or even digital download templates like a con pack that has social media stuff, posters, set up tips and artists could use those as a way to grow their own booth. I know it’s not passive at first, but once you’ve made it you don’t need to worry anymore! Maybe that could recoup lost wages if you cut back on cons.

Dang, you worked a lot this year! Thank you for sharing your experiences again, but you definitely earned a big break after all that vending and traveling haha. Thank you for your videos, I was an exhibitor this year. Corner booth, it was my first LACC. It was a very slow convention. A lot of vendors made very poor sales. It seemed like nobody wanted to spend money. But maybe the timing is bad do to the way the economy is. I do know that majority of the booths didn’t break even. Artist alley sounds like it did better. Lots of people just browsing not buying. Unfortunately I won’t be doing this convention again either.

I definitely recommend trying to space out shows specially if they are big ones like 3+ day ones I try to put a month in between mine but that’s just cause I have been doing them for so many years I found out it isn’t worth doing too many in a row specially if they are close to each other by date and proximity cause you are just going to get the same people and if you have no time to make new stuff people probably won’t buy from you twice.

Thanks for your input! After experiencing back to back cons last year, I vowed to not do that again, but I ended up doing it twice this year 😅 I'm going to try not to do consecutive events again but it's also difficult to say no, especially with how difficult it is to get into cons now

I don't think I'm going to vend at L.A Comic Con again. I tried the Exhibitor Hall last year and then Artist Alley this year - both of which I broken even with a little extra. But honestly, not sure if it's my items or set up, but it seemed pretty dead.

I actually tabled at this con last year and hoped that the artist alley improved, but I guess that it didn't. Last year, the organizers changed artist's table numbers at the last minute and I got a worse spot than previously assigned. Sales were okay, but parking was really expensive. One other big thing is that there were so many empty tables and the organizers didn't help other artists who were in bad spots move into the good open ones. I'm sorta glad that I didn't table this year. The cost was not worth it.

Oh no, thank you for sharing your experience. I did okay enough last year which is why I wanted to vend again, but this year didn't make it seem worth coming back next year
