While I accept that the angle from which the film was taken could make exact placement of feet deceptive, it does rather look like someone needs to remind Dev and the umpire as his end that Law 21.5.1 (2017 code) states, 'the bowler's back foot must land within and not touching the return crease appertaining to his/her stated mode of delivery'. Dev looked very wide and well on the line. Great to watch the coverage though and I love the way it was handshakes to the Chairman for his catch rather than the normal hugs/fist bumps etc.

Congrats on the draw; I thought you were not going to make it! Dan, allow me a slight correction to your pronunciation of "Moorreesburg": it doesn't sound like "Harrisburg", but is pronounced "moor - rEEs- burg", with the "g" in "burg" like the Scottish "ch" in "loch". The town was named after J.C. le Febre Moorrees (1807-1885), who was a minister in the Swartland (Black Country) congregation of the Dutch Reformed Church. The "burg" comes from the same German and Dutch word for castle, not that there was ever a castle there 🙂 BTW, the Swartland region is also home to some truly excellent wine estates, but I suppose Matt will be trying the locally popular beers, rather, like Castle Lager, Amstel, Hansa, Tafel Lager and Windhoek Lager, not to mention smaller breweries that have popped up since I left the area.
