I wanted VP to lose, but not by mode of a poorly timed crash. Now even if G2, by some miracle, win the major, there will be a reasonable argument that it is somewhat undeserved. And wouldn't that suck for Niko? His one major trophy, and its legitimacy has reason to be doubted. Truly unfortunate.

Probably as far as g2 going to go. They are basically limping to champions with monesy just hard carrying them. Mouz is a scary team and will have no issue putting monesy down.

What a heart breaker this one. I believe 100% that VP would've taken the map if there's way less technical problems. Even before the fatal crash, a few rounds before Fame got disconnected while mir or norbert got a 3k at the A site. That technical pause to get Fame back in the game stopped VP's strong momentum and they began losing their round streak afterwards. That Jame crash was the final nail in the coffin because this map was the only way they can close the game out while Anubis was full G2 territory. What a disasterclass of a situation.

What makes Jame’s crash so much worse is that now that major is over, one cannot be sure at all that the major winner would not have been different if VP had been in the playoffs instead of G2. This crash may have had such a massive butterfly effect, it’s crazy to even think about it. We are not talking just about the results of a single tournament, but also about the legacies of the players, orgs, fates of entire rosters, players’ careers etc.

Can’t even take a win as a g2 fan nowadays. Was late and watched map 3 only to be absolutely blasted by calls about a gamecrash for vp. That obviously sucks! But I hate the toxicity in competitive from fans. What happened with taz and fnatic when he came onstage to stop the polish fans from buing after old vp lost the final in Poland against fnatic and everyone showed some damn respect. I feel for vp a lot but it’s not g2s fault.

49:06 is when nOrb3r7 knew they'd been knocked out (look at player cam - he's in the background). I feel for the guy - he played lights out for the whole match.

Remember guys, they all have insane contracts to play the game they love, in the end yes it’s important but they are fine, don’t hate on G2, it’s not their fault, yes you can feel bad for VP but that’s all. It’s PGL’s fault for not restarting the round or doing something in such a crucial moment, both scenarios WERE possible. Just keep enjoying if you do enjoy it, they are paid, we are spectators ;) No hate no war, they are all tier1 pro’s in the end !

Without Jame crashing G2 would have for sure lost, what an absolute fluke, Hooxi gets to lead another day and they'll probably be decimated in the next few rounds.

F*ck this game, man, i'm revolted with this since they added the inaccuracy in the AWP when you're taking shots regardless of kevlar, which to me is completely ridiculous. Valve knows this is ridiculous so much that it hasn't made this change explicit in any update notes, as it knows it's a shameful mechanic. Not to mention the performance issues and the lack of the gun in the left hand.

Im here for the comments. I watched the whole game live. Yes, VP played really strong, but the results speak for themselves. Yes, luck struck G2 at that specific round in Inferno with Jame crashing, but shit happens and it is like that in every sport there is - sometimes luck interfere and push you thru or pull you back. And you can't just pin everything in one guy crashing in one round, don't you think? Those are 3 maps played. I see arguments that "G2 are limping to champion" ... yes, they don't play at 100%, more like 65-70% (and that's the max I can give them!) and still manage to win such a good players like VP. G2 won - they had a bit of luck, but they did everything else themselves. But if they keep playing like that, next match will be the last one for them. Well timed luck can push you at new hights, but it can't push you to the top.

Worst game in cs history. At 38:02 Jame’s pc crashes, which results in vp losing inferno. Then to make matters worse, fame’s either experiences a bug or his game’s crashing on Anubis at 41:31. Then to make matters even worse, after g2 got their lucky win against vp and makes it to the playoffs. James Banks interviews monesy, and despite m0nesy knowing what happened to vp, he says, “We broke them mentally”. LOL, I DIDN’T KNOW MONESY WAS WORKING FOR PGL. I can understand being happy that they made it to the playoffs, but the fact that they seem proud about how they won despite the circumstances that occurred during the match is mind blowing to me. Pgl can use the excuse that NVIDIA caused all they want despite it happening twice, they can honestly just disappear. I hope they never host a major ever again. Also, after pain vs Navi, I’m not watching the rest of this major. Fuck pgl, fuck NVIDIA, and fuck valve for not fixing this game. With all of that being said, I hope Eternal Fire wins the major.

Even as a G2 fan, I can't say we deserved to be in the top 8. Jame crashing literally handed the game back to G2. The CTs would've been broke af heading into round 24, and G2 would've most likely lost 0-2. First G2 gave up an 8-1 lead on Overpass, then we needed Jame's game to shut down to win the most important round in our tournament's live. I stopped watching after game 2 because of how absolutely dogshit my G2 was playing, apparently there were more bugs that happened to VP in game 3 too. I don't think anyone could've adjusted quick enough to deal with the bullshit that was just dealt to them and play a normal game 3. Props to VP for being class acts. I swear, if we somehow won the major (I know, chance of that happening is probably 1 in 10000000000), half of the winnings need to go to VP.

it was a situation in their vp's favour, if they won they would've broken g2's money on series point. Jame crashes, the situation now favors g2 and they end up winning the series in a third map that was never supposed to be played. Undeserved win

While it’s easy to hate on g2 for this one. Remember they were 12-9 up on overpass. And jame was 13-17 with 50adr on inferno there’s no guarantee he would’ve changed the round. It also woulda just been overtime with more chances for both squads. Both these teams aren’t playing well and g2 still had to win 12 other rounds. Monesy deserves this more than anyone else in the server so I’m happy. VP got their fluke major they can die happy as far as I’m concerned
