The chendol you had is the one Penangite patrons. The one with long queue is overrated because of social media. When you compare the green jelly, you realize the less famous one has the shade of green of genuine pandan whereas the famous one seems to use artificial colouring.
Thanks for your lovely journey. Very entertaining. The shop with the sign Famous Teochew Cendol actually belong (or is related) to the stall in front (the one with the long queue). Hence its name is the same. If u sit down n call cendol, they will bring in from the outside.
11:10 same as me, like to support the neglected n underdogs. Tried both cendol b4, both taste almost the same except the stall opposite with long Q is overrated, can get better one at other places in Georgetown.
Last day in Penang?😂 Hey, you with the Canada T-shirt, where are you from, asked the KL'er. In this vlog, Doug loses face twice! (~28'30 & again 57'-ish) Keep face, Doug. Given all your tapping I thought u couldn't resist going inside for a yap; so that was a surprise.
I guess that's just a habit of mine. I often don't stir things and mix things up, even when I'm supposed to. I like to eat each section separately. I don't know why. Even if I go to McDonald's, I'll eat all of french fries first. And then I'll have the hamburger. I don't eat them at the same time usually. 🙂
Yes, I often do. That's because I prefer the ones that are made from any type of wood or bamboo. The plastic ones you often get in restaurants or markets are too slippery for me. The noodles slide off them and I can't hold food very well. So then I have a package of simple wooden chopsticks in my bag.
