Bode is an ancient Newar city in the east corner of the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal, about eight miles from the capital city, Kathmandu❤️
Every year, it takes four nights and three days to perform Nibarahi Naach from Bhadra Ditiya to Panchami(after Gaijatra). Bhairav, Barahi, Kumari, Simha, Dwarpal and Ganesh are all featured in this historic parade💗
This space called “Akha (अःखा) or Dyo Chhen (द्यःछें; deity house)” is more like a little chowk, where the parade begins and ends. Inside the Akha is a “Naskuthi (नासःकुथि)” where the masks and ornaments of the deities are kept. As part of the rituals, Bhairav (being the patron) worships in Naskuti twice daily: in the morning and the evening ❤️
