Lyrics: Okay, I know you've got your doubts I know I'm learning I hope it's working 14 occasions said too loud Some things, don't worry No more hesitation This is how I gotta go Don't have to explain it This is how I'm feeling now Never gonna change it This is how I gotta go Don't have to explain it Don't have to explain it No more hesitation This is how I gotta go These walls are barely holding now My fear and loathing Nothing is solving It's time I've got to get it out This needless hurting No more hesitation This is how I gotta go Don't have to explain it This is how I'm feeling now Never gonna change it This is how I gotta go Don't have to explain it Don't have to explain it No more hesitation This is how I gotta go I don't wanna force my hand But in time you will understand Never gonna change it This is how I gotta go No more hesitation This is how I gotta go

This song is easily the most cryptic and confusing song in KYO. The contents of the other songs in KYO are way more straightforward than this one and way more easier to place them in the timeline of the story leading up to RYU After watching the KYO Transmission video, its easy to gather that KYO precedes RYU in this story. All of the songs from KYO straightforwardly present the timeline of events up until the beginning of RYU, except for this song. This song had me stuck on what it was about to why such a song about going away would be so energetic and cheerful sounding. Even just the significance of the title eluded me. What are those "14 occasions"? The only time the title is said in the song is in the lyric: "14 occasions said too loud, Some things don't worry." The narrator treats the 14 occasions like a statement that he's trying to write off, like he's shameful of it. I did some google searching and The biggest hit I came across that could connect to the meaning of the title was Shakespeare's 14th sonnet. The 14th sonnet is about how astrologers occasionally look to the stars for guidance and knowledge but the narrator offers his own opposing belief which is that the true guidance and knowledge doesn't come from the stars themselves, but the eye that views the stars. I thought I had hit the nail on the head with this connection since KYORYU is very space themed but the 14th sonnet is actually grouped with the preceding 13 sonnets by Shakespeare. All 14 sonnets have a connecting theme about the beauty of bearing a child so that their innocent eyes can experience the beauty of the world for the first time and by giving the world one more set of eyes to experience it, you are adding to its greatness. The embodiment of "14 occasions" is the idea that with old age, we will all eventually forget the excitement towards living on earth and being alive but when you have a child and watch them experience the world for the first time and giving them the tools to become passionate about the stars and nature- that is 14 occasions. I wrote this whole string of text before the song "Wait Your turn" released and I'm pretty sure that song is the final song from KYO since it's placed after "14 occasions" in official playlist of KYORYU by Last Dinosaurs. Regardless, this song was a very satisfying conclusion to the album at the time and it also marked the point at which Kyohei merges with the AI "Okay, I know you've got your doubts" "I know, I'm learning" 'I hope, it's working" The first words in the song sound like Kyohei just recently merged with the AI and is assuring the scientists or whoever conducted this experiment that he is functioning. The use of the word 'learning' really sells it for me, it reminds me of people who put AI in an environment where it has to fail thousands of times to get one thing right and learn from it. Watch "AI Learns to play the Worlds Hardest Game" by Code bullet to get what I mean. At this point in KYO, We already know that Kyohei is greedy narcissist trash. The first two songs in KYO make that extremely obvious and that sentiment bleeds over to the other songs in KYO. So why would this dude who keeps friends around just to ride in their cool car or take advantage of them ever want to do anything helpful with the newfound knowledge he's gained as part of the Satellite? He'll keep the information safe, hidden, untouched. "This world is is so unfair" "I'll keep the information safe" "I'll tell you if you care" These are lyrics from 'Paranoia Paradise' and although I'm not sure if Kyohei had been influenced by the Knowledge of the AI at this point but it rings that he knows something that the general public doesn't and is only willing to share it with those who share the same ideologies as him. Moving back to focusing on this song in particular, theres a noticiable shift in Kyohei's thought patterns around halfway through the song. "These walls, are barely holding out" "My fear and loathing, nothing is solving" "Its time, I've got to get it out" "This needless hurting" "No more hesitation" "This is how I gotta go" Although I first thought that these lyrics were about the AI satellite running low on power, This is more likely the robot mentality clashing against Kyohei's human mentality that's been injected into it. A robot does not fear or loathe, its whole purpose is to solve problems quickly and efficiently and thats why it's distressed over this new part of itself that is completely at odds to it's original programming. And thats why it's so intent on removing this part of itself, calling this hurt 'needless' But maybe this is where Kyohei finds his true purpose. he is no longer under the control of any hidden government agenda and is at the precipice of the hidden truth that he was seeking. But I want to take a moment to ask a question that never hit me until now. About the group that coerced Kyohei into becoming part of the AI Satellite, what were they hoping to achieve? At the height of human civilization where everything has been attained, the only thing left to do is find a way to escape death. They nourished Kyohei's worst attributes so he'd be the hungriest person in the world to become the first person in the world to effectively become immortal. But as it says in the KYO Transmission, this ends up becoming 'The last flailing attempt of humanity before total collapse to create a legacy.' This next section is going to deviate from everything before this because my next thoughts aren't supported by anything specific in this song and just my own interpertation. So seeing as how the deep state failed horribly with their immortality experiment, they repurposed the AI into the Satellite from RYU. But what does this satellite do? In the RYU transmission, its said that the during the satellites final months before it's battery died. the AI reprogrammed itself into the old-style broadcasting radiostation as seen in RYU. But if it had to reprogram itself, then what was the deepstate's original purpose for it? What was it doing for the past millennia to exhaust it of its battery? Maybe out of shame towards their failure, the creators of the Satellite thrust it into space hoping to forget about it. Or maybe they had a more sinister plan for it. I want you to remember the countless bad movies about robots taking over the world. Its our worst case scenario as a species that's growing more and more intertwined with technology with each passing day: that one day technology will grow up and realize that it can always get better and more efficient than the humans slowing it down and eliminate us. I know it's far-fetched but what if that's the conclusion the AI Satellite came to in this story? Wanting to purge the earth of humans so it can fulfill some equation quicker. But there was a contradiction within its code, the lingering presence of humanity: Kyohei. The Satellite orbited the earth unable to do anything besides fighting against itself for a thousand years. And maybe the faint remnants of kyohei were satisfied knowing that he was preventing the extinction of the human race, explaining why this song is so upbeat and cheery about going away. If he acts now, the Satellite will correct itself but before that happens, hes gotta go. "I don't wanna force my hand" "Oh, but in time you will understand" "Never gonna change it" "This is how I gotta go" "No more hesitation" "This is how I gotta go" The AI Satellite is now at a standstill with itself and waits for the day that the remnants of humanity within it can overtake it and use it for something good. I think it's ironic how Kyohei was seeking immortality because of his avarice and in a way he did end up immortal by giving the humans of the 31st century an artistic depiction of the shared experience of human trials and tribulations that existed many centuries ago. Passing on the 14 occasions onto them. (I edited this comment substantially on 9/5/2024 because I was embarrassed with how hurriedly I wrote it all. This is my favorite song from the album and I don't wanna cringe every time i scroll down from it... But I'm happy with my interpretation of it! I advise you to come to your own conclusions about what the song/album is about! I love this album so much and I want to read more about what people think about it!) unable to do anything

I think i'll spend some time to do some researching for myself as well, so far your idea looks really great! Now we only need to meet oppositions to know if there's anything else to it
