Oh y'all. All of my love. I'm so glad we all made it through 2020 together and it warms the deepest darkest bits of my heart to know that I helped even one person weather the storm just a bit better. Although it's been many years and many hundreds of miles of moves since I lived and filmed this in downtown Atlanta, I'm still hopeful to "do it all again" one year soon. See you then! ❤️

Thanks! Although I would say it is professionally produced :) I have a background in audio/video production and we recorded the vocals in a studio on Music Row in Nashville. We weren't "paid" to produce this, but it was a pretty professional team ;)

This song is almost 10 years old and is still one of my favorites. I have been unable to attend Dragon Con for the past few years (twins being born in 2019 and the pandemic in 2020) and this song keeps me going. I am really hoping to be there for Dragon Con 2021, with this song blasting away on DCTV!!!

Not as much as you'd think :) Most of her singing was filmed on a separate weekend trip when the hotels were mostly empty and the video in the loft was actually shot during Momocon. All the other convention footage was filmed at Dragon Con 2011. The original plan was to film it all at Con, but that was way too difficult to workout with our schedules.

We recorded the vocals first, then I played them back for her while we shot it. That's pretty common. It's pretty difficult to do right if you try and do it the other way around.

Mostly where they were back then! Many of the people in the video live in Atlanta, and the video producers live in Nashville and Atlanta. The singer has moved out west with her family, but she still comes back to DCon when she can.

haha...not quite. We filmed most of it last year and premiered it on DCTV this weekend. It took several shoots over the course of the last year to complete :)

Deena, have you thought about singing and writing songs professionally? You have impressive control of your voice especially in your upper register, and you sound better than Katy Perry. You really express emotions outstandingly with just small facial expressions, like Kristin Kreuk. Even if you're just asking as yourself don't know it--Teri Hatcher has parleyed acting as herself into an impressive career. :-)

Nothing was filmed at D*C 2012. It was playing on DCTV the whole weekend, we just decided to wait until con to premiere it :)
