3200 m runway renovation
this MD11F got an engine change as well as a wheel/tyre replacement at Ostend
some minor problem , additional air start was required before its departure to Shannon
Nocturnal atmosphere

Terrific video and being airside means that you get the full effect of the MD11 without all the obstacles that us avgeeks have on the otherside of the fence!!

THANKS , btw this was recorded through the small holes in the fence , advantage videocamera , lens diameter 4K camera is much less , also this stand was the only one that made this possible , was well worth for waiting for this event , i have no access to the apron anyway

merci , the plane got a 1 hour extension for its departure , otherwise plane would have been stranded at the airport for some 2 months , luckely i got out in time !

Patrick this is great night time video of a DC10 leaving from Ostende. The close ups are splendid under the white lights to the eye, and a great take off with tail light up.Planes look so beautiful at night with their lights on. I noticed the tractors in the fore ground and thinking of the support equipment to assist the planes, seems amazing to me. Any chance you will a video off and on of the runway repairs, just wondering? Patrick have a great weekend and catch you on the next flight.

not that there are so many flights 😄 , but on a serious note , TUI holiday charters and the only regular A330 Egyptair divert to Brussels , will see how things develop whn the works are finished , but do not expect too much 😉

without this extra more powerful emergency power unit the plane could not depart , faulty APU unit i believe , rare to see , i saw it once before with a Kalitta 747-400 series N705CK , nice extra touch
