@@user-qn9ku2fl2b im pretty sure hes like the only person to consistently climb 8c's and higher lol guy is truly on a different level of consistency. Im not super knowledgeable but, I have seen alot of people comment the same about his record of higher difficulty climbs just far above anyone else. Not to say there are climbers just as skilled, or even stronger in other aspects, but just his training is above others i feel.. I think it plays to the part where he grew up the rock is slippery/smooth and he got used to hard climbing as a child , never left it. Its apart of him now
side note* i wish the olympics would do 3 seperate categories to show case the skills of climbers. Adam would probably have much more fun at the olypmics. But its true how happy and in his element he seems outside just so balanced mentally and joyous. Oh, how i strive to be like that with anything in my life,.
How can you quantify how good of produciton this is? These climbing videos are so well edited, put together, executed. I know absolutely nothing about climbing but Iafter watching you for a month I have applied this kinda of ethic into other avenues in my life, instead of just giving up. When it was hardest this past couple weeks, I just kept going. Its unreal how much i appreciate your work
That crux section of Bombardino... He must have climbed 20 feet past his last bolt! Balls of steel to go for moves at the peak of your ability while you have a fall that huge awaiting you if you slip off!
The quality of Adam’s videos are getting to be so good - on par with some of the major climbing film productions on this platform. Bravo Adam, thanks for pushing the sport and keeping us all wildly entertained.
@RR said it below...Iva Vejmolová is an accomplished climber in her own right, not sure if she was just putting on 'the face' on to be supportive, I would imagine she was genuinely psyched like any climber would be...
Don't have to see the it to know that this is another cinema-worthy masterpiece of a video. Keep it up team. Edit: watched it and it was absolutely amazing
The way Adam shows the entire process of developing the climb really cements it into reality for me. As someone new to climbing I find myself getting discouraged on climbs just barely out of my comfort zone, but watching how Adam can bolt a route and only complete it 10 years later really puts into perspective how much you have to persevere to achieve your goals.
all of us who started climbing after seeing someone great at it doing it have earned a new sense of appreciation for how, literally, impossible the routes in these videos seem to be
Well.. this last run. It was easy. He just took his shirt off. Everyone know it's a power buff. Huge props to Adam. And even Jacob, one of his biggest competitor, would like to be like Adam when he'll grow up :D It's great to watch cooperation between such goats!
Adam your videos/journeys are insane, and literally bring a tear to my eye.Im not a rock climber but i fully appreciate your stoke and vibe.. keep pushing your limits
I started following Adam in 2016, used his videos when talking about the mental aspects of the process with my teams (I am a professional volleyball coach), I visited Flatanger 🇳🇴 and the cave just to see and experience the place (I am not a climber) … in 2022 Adam still delivers spectacular examples of “joyful obsession” which are amazing to watch. THANK YOU 😍
I appreciate how now on the Mammut team Adam has friends. Also, you’re asking if Jakob thinks this could be done without the kneebar? It’s like asking Megos if he should do the splits.
Adam your humility and generosity of spirit is what sets you apart. Your willingness to share yourself with such openness is a gift to all of us. Thanks.
Your climbing is amazing... fell in love with this sport thanks to you. I have started to climb in October, and yesterday did my first 6a onsight. Thanks for all the videos, they always inspire me to push myself!
The passion that this man here possesses is one of the greatest inspiration to mankind. Sometimes, because he's so deep in this spirit, I doubt that even he knows how much lives he has impacted around the world - not just in climbing.
It just leaves you speechless. What kind of human being must he be? To endure such pain and hardship. Just look at his knees! Completely bloody. The screams he lets out when working on his moves. The sound of war - him fighting against his own body. Watching him is pure inspiration and a beautiful outlook on what a human can achieve when he puts his heart into it. Much love to you Adam. Your climbing is utter poetry.
Adam thank you. Your love of the rock, the people, the history, the place and your delicate and conscientious aesthetic is inspiring. You have such passion. I think I can see that you feel the beauty of climbing is as much a part of it as is the cuts and bruises and blood. Thank you for being such an incredible human
That was superb!! Loved the synth for the orange line send… perfect tension. And the screaming! Wooo! Reminds me of the younger Adam! So good! One of your best vids yet
Well, Adam Ondra is amazing - no doubt. But the quality of his camera crew, the production, music…is definitely a kind of 9b. Ondra`s pure achievements are so well documented. Great job.
Adame nejsem lezec, ale rád se podívám na někoho kdo to umí a musím konstatovat, že tvoje výkony jsou dechberoucí. Při těch finálních pokusech jsem měl normálně husí kůži 👍
Didnt watch until today because I was sure I didnt have the time to watch it, got myself sure I had 25 minutes to watch it peacefully and it was 100% worth
Thank you to Adam and to the production team for sharing this and for capturing the experience in a way that allows both climbers and nonclimbers to draw joy and inspiration from it.
all the guys here seem so happy and nice, in my opinion, this is what turns a potentially good video into this masterpiece of enternainment. And for sure the climbing is spectacular as always
It just never gets old. I first placed my hands on rock with an intention to climb up it in 1990 and to this day, although I only get to do it occasionally, the feeling is the same.
Its so, so cool to see Adam working with a physiotherapist and developing an individualized plan of exercise that is tailored to help him with unique parts of the project he's working on. That has to be a component which could separate the best climbers in the world from all the rest. I love seeing the inclusion of training like that into these videos. It feels like a rare glimpse into just one of the many things that make world class climbers like Adam so exceptional, and its not quite that common to see in videos. Usually you'll see content of climbers training by...climbing...doing specific boulder moves, using fingerboards, etc., but seeing Adam work with the physiotherapist felt like elite athlete behavior, like something you'd see LeBron, Connor McDavid, or Cristiano Ronaldo doing off of their respective courts/rinks/pitches, which would translate into better performance on their courts/rinks/pitches. One last thing: Just thinking about really fine-tuned, honed exercises to help with performance on the scale as unique as certain moves or holds, I wonder if isometric exercises could be useful to strengthen distinct weak spots within something as minuscule as one specific movement or hold, strengthening literally isolated sections of a muscle contraction or muscle 'stroke.' For example, take a random exercise like a bicep curl. If while completing the muscularly-eccentric upwards part of the repetition, the individual feels a difference in how strong or powerful he or she is at certain points of the muscle contraction, such as the beginning and end of the upwards rep, while not as strong in the middle of the eccentric contraction, isometric exercises can be used to distinctly target that exact, weaker point of the contraction. I'd imagine that dialed-in training of that nature could benefit climbers on a level as precise as specific cruxes, moves or holds.
Awesome video ! Love how cinematic it is and Adam's joy at sending the route is contagious ! Edit: the music during the ascent of Bombardino is so good !
