How is it this time already? I do not know, but here is my final jump before we head off to compete at Badminton Horse Trials. Seeing as the cross country course photos have been released, it was a great opportunity to recreate some of the combinations that look most challenging. I headed over to Emily Mustow Equestrian's beautiful arena, where she had set up some very technical questions. I hope you enjoy seeing our last training session. This is the fittest and most in control I recall seeing both Meg and Jam. Epic training session - It's beautiful how Emily keeps Meg in check... giving excellent support throughout the training.

As much as I think Lucinda is an incredible horse person and instructor, I really think Emily's positivity is amazing for not only your riding, but your confidence too which is exactly what you (or anyone else) needs before Badders! 🙌🏼 Wish I was based over that way as I'd love a lesson with her.

This is a throwback to the jump school with Simon, but it really looks like you have a much straighter horse (and a much straighter line) - Jam's shoulders are staying square in front of you rather than dropping one way or the other, in the corners but also as you come into your approaches, and it is giving you some really, really lovely take-offs. That doesn't happen overnight, it's the result of doing your homework over and over and it has clearly paid off. Being straight more consistently, and embracing your engine and riding forward, makes for an absolute joy to watch. Rooting for you. 💕

This was so lovely to watch. Epic performance by horse & rider. Emily is so down to earth & knowledgeable. I did notice that when Emily said "sit up", you did & Jam responded - ears pricked & focused. Jam is incredibly responsive. Very best wishes Meg - you have both worked so hard. Meg, you and Jam have GOT THIS. You guys acted like that course was just a little warmup before breakfast. PLEASE try to remember that you KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING and just go out and do it! What a brilliant teacher, Emily is. I never got to jump cross country myself, so I've found some of the lessons you've video with other instructors a bit difficult to understand. Emily explained everything so simply and clear. Jam is looking so good that you and her are going to smash Badminton ❤

The last time I remember seeing Jam jump this positively and well was when Ellie rode her for you. Now when your confidence is up, you both look absolutely incredible!
