Hopefully it doesn't happen as late as it did with demise. I was hyped for when Mumbo would "inevitably" die and make loads of cool traps for everyone, but he died just before Grian trapped Doc and then the game ended.
Having allies is actually going to be so important - imagine if you're the boogeyman, try to kill someone, and FAIL. Suddenly everyone knows you're the boogeyman and will not go anywhere near you. However, if you have an ally and they have more lives than you, they can also just take the death for you. Another interesting scenario would be the following: Let's say you have 4 lives. If you don't kill anyone, you'll lose 3 lives. you can trade a kill for one of your lives - which means you'll only lose ONE life instead of 3, and your ally doesn't lose anything. Could lead to a lot of interesting situations!
The fact I just realised Scar is currently the only person that lost their live first at the beginning of the season and it was because of Grian, in third life Grian got a creeper to get Scar and in this season he lost Scar’s life that he gave to Grian
I highly suspect when Red Lifes start showing up they will start trying to ransom lives out of players rather than just kill them outright. Imagine if Mumbo turns red and captures someone in a redstone deathtrap, and the only way out is if they give him one of their lives.
@@normagonzalez8138 Actualshard is correct. She's Australian and a common joke about Australia is that everyone there walks upside down since it's on the Southern Hemisphere (the "underside" to our little sphere of a rock). On the Hermitcraft server, a bunch of mobs got named Dinnerbone to further play into this joke.
This is so freaking cute!! Love that Pearl is upside down. And Impulse’s solo American flag. BigB holding a cookie. Hoping for a BDubs/Etho/Tango/Skizz team-up. Looking for an Etho win.
I just realized something interesting. A boogeyman can tell their allies that they're infected and the allies can help them go to an enemy faction and kill an enemy instead of having to go on a rampage of trying to kill anyone they could see :D
Alright so I was watching this and I had some Thoughts that wouldn’t leave, here’s the sparknotes version (current as of week 3): - The North, ie Magical Mountain Joel is red and he wants to cause problems on purpose (and build his house). He’s a wild card, though living under Scar might give him access to the enchanting table. As for Scar himself, I don’t know him very well but he seems like he’d find SOME angle, SOME deal, and manage to twist and wriggle his way out of just about any situation. Joel isn’t used to direct confrontation, he’s just a builder ffs, while Scar can defuse conflict and exit the situation at a neutral or positive. - The Southlands I literally only know Jimmy going in, but I have no doubt the other four are as skilled as you and the rest of the comment section says they are. That being said, don’t count Jimmy out so quick - his technical and pvp skills might not be the best, but he works best as a front for the others. He’s so obviously New and Unskilled and Wholesome and Honest that everyone almost automatically lets their guard down around him, and THATS when his friends and allies can sneak in and rob everyone blind. As a whole, the South feels very chaotic, and much like Joel, they’re a collective wild card: they’ve all got skills, definitely, but whether they’ll be able to leverage those skills to actually get anything PRODUCTIVE done is a bit more of a toss-up. - Pearl and Scott This is the most solid team on the server. They’re established, they’re defended, they have a monopoly on a few resources and have leveraged those resources to make smart trades and smarter allies. The problem is that they’re only as strong as they are because they’re working together - Scott said so himself in week 2. If they can manage to hang onto what they’ve got, and stay out of yellow, they stand a V E R Y good chance of being two of the last five standing at least, if not just being the last two standing. - Castle Alliance (you referred to them as the West) Cleo is the most powerful player here. Not necessarily because she’s smart or skilled, but because she’s cunning and resourceful. While everyone else was busy freaking out about sugarcane, she made sure she and her allies had at least SOME and immediately got to mining sand. She used the sugarcane to buy more allies (Tango, Skizz, Bdubs, Etho, and Lizzie), while keeping the crucial, finite resource mostly to herself. She has BigB on her side as well, which is a very strong duo - they trust each other, though he does tend to make some slight mistakes (when he showed the location of the hidden chest in his video). Lizzie is less powerful, but not because she’s inherently worse - she’s just inexperienced. She’s made some less-than-ideal decisions, she doesn’t have almost unlimited access to resources like Pearl and Scott, she doesn’t have political intelligence like Cleo, and she’s outnumbered by the South. But she DOES have two key assets Cleo doesn’t have: the slime farm in the works, and Ren. Slime by itself doesn’t do much, unless you’re a redstoner or someone planning on using a lot of sticky pistons or leads. If Lizzie can get a monopoly on slime, she can leverage that for other resources and potential allies. As for Ren - he swore allegiance to HER, not to Cleo. His relationship with Lizzie is what got him into the Castle Alliance, not because Cleo made that decision. If things were to go south between Lizzie and Cleo, Lizzie would take Ren with her and that could be potentially devastating to Cleo. (I said sparknotes and gave an essay on basically Cleo and Lizzie, can you tell who my favorites are lmaoooooo) Anyway, if you want my prediction on who’s gonna win - Scott and Pearl are strong contenders, as is Cleo. The South is unpredictable, which could be either boon or curse, and Lizzie is doing her best to catch up with everyone else. Of course, this is all without taking into account how unpredictable the server itself can be with the Boogeymen, and how quickly someone can lose everything just based off of bad luck. The bad luck factor would leave Cleo in the best shape, probably - like I said, she’s resourceful and she’s left spare gear hidden around the map. Scott and Pearl, meanwhile, are careful and solid - bad luck will most likely affect them less, or just knock them back a step or two (one of them got killed in both weeks 2 and 3, and they’re still essentially unaffected in their position). I don’t know the others well, if at all, but my top 3 are Pearl, Scott, and Cleo, not necessarily in that order.
This was so well thought out and pretty accurate, even taking into account the unpredictability of the server not allowing any of this be set in stone. The West crumbled, unfortunately. There was a lot of drama. With BigB betraying Cleo, which in turn caused her to burn down the Fairy Fort and declare the Alliance were now her enemy. Lizzie had a decent run. It's just unfortunate that her husband always had her on the top of his hit list 😂 Ren was loyal, and was genuinely upset when they had to part ways when Lizzie became a red life. Scott and Pearl also did end up in the top 5, with Scott winning the season.
I think someone from the south would win. Maybe not grain tho, as he only has 2 lives, but other southerners can get sugarcane (that is basically TNT) from Grian as of there alliance. Or if someone decides to get all sand from all rivers, they have a high chance to victory. Or maybe smallishbeans as he has the enchanting table (and scar too, but in terms of gear, Joel is more stacked up). Certainly we can't really guess, as its too early. I'm looking forward for Grian's second episode as I enjoyed his perspective the most out of the 7-8 last life videos I watched
I guess I’m missing something, how does sugar cane translate to TNT? Sugar/Paper is not involved in TNT recipe at all, just sand and gunpowder. So totally confused why everyone is saying that sugar cane=TNT.
@@mercy9375 I mean the video says there is very little sand in this season and gunpowder can be gathered by manipulating the spawn of creepers. So I believe it is replacing sand.
I'm kinda rooting for impulse after the betrayal he experienced last season. Kinda like a revenge arc or something 😂 No but seriously I hope him mumbo or scar win cause like it'd be fun to see mumbo and scar win since most players think that they wouldn't make it. But my top hope is for impulse to win. Fingers crossed.
This is such a well made video, props for that. The little animations are cute, the information is well presented, and I can’t get over pearl being upside down for the entire thing
Grian will win, causing chaos and infighting for everyone else but keeping loyal allies in the meantime. He's not necessarily the best at much, but he's still good. He already has one win under his belt, I can see him winning. I give him 17.6% chance of winning at the expense of Scar's chance of winning and the new players with the exception of Mumbo because of his proximity to Grian.
would love to see an updated version including the history. a lot of stuff has happened in like 4 episodes. we need a "tracking the enchanting table" series
Spoiler for the second session: Joel and Scar have become wizards, Joel and Scar became the Boogeymen, They were both cured, Joel died 4 times trying to cure himself and is now the first red name. Like 30 seconds before Joel became Red, Lizzie just happened to bet he would become the first red name, it happened and she was granted 4 lives [Then she decided to give 2 away and now she has 3 or 2 lives left, I forgot, I think 3]
Tbh I think Lizzie will def make it far into the game, think about it she is in an alliance of 2 other people, she possess the ability to make tnt, she has a spider or zombie farmer (forget which one it is), is located pretty far away from people who aren't her allies, has 3 dogs to help defeat enemies, and a husband.
I feel like Scar’s charisma that got him the “win” last season is going to be a force to be reckoned with as he is a 5 lifer. Although Grian will probably find a way to get at least a third life again and we have seen that even as one of the leaders and men on the front lines of the resistance against the Red King last season, he still was the last person with two lives.
The fact both zombie cleo and Ldshadowlady are like a killing machine together, like think about it. Zombie cleo burned down the fairy fort by running lava down the castle and Ldshadowlady had the idea to make it rain lava, down a tall building for revenge. And Ldshadowlady had the most coolest kill ive ever seen. By killing big b with a firework cross bow.
this video just came up on my recommended and i decided to watch it, and from hearing your voice i could tell you were filipino too XD hoping to see you make an empires smp explained video
