I really grew to hate the map because it was played so much but as soon as I found out that it was being reworked I appreciated it a little more each time I played it. I do like the new one

Yeah Siege community is addicted to nostalgia. I love a little bit myself but consulate was a shit map, end of. New one looks much better and, more importantly, fun.

New consulate is trash, I've always liked consulate how it was. People just need to get good, it's only ever gold bums complaining about the map. There's way too many angles, cover and just rat spots in general in the new one. Consulate only needed a couple of tweaks maybe but not a whole damn rework

@LILMAGIC 107 I can definitely understand the sentiment that low elo players can criticise maps based on their relatively unreliable skillset, myself included, but personally I never even found consulate, save for the garage, fun in any way. Competitively viable? Maybe, but that's not really for me to say, who isn't hugely competitive regardless.

@@Lilmagic107 new consulate is better unless you liked being spawn peaked, main lobby was terrible in old. Infact fuck it old consulate is garbage. New one I actually feel safe outside, certain places aren't just kill boxes anymore cough cough yellow stairs and main lobby.

@@thescarecrow9066 if you still get spawn peeked on that map that's your fault. Map has been out since the game came out and spawn peeks are really free kills for attackers if you know what you're doing and putting drones around the map watching said peeks. And there are plenty of strats that work for main lobby again you just need to know what you're doing and pick the right ops. Yellow stairs was just fine, it's a high risk high reward route they just needed to tweak the angle where you could be seen from outside. The map only needed tweaks this new map because that's what it is, is trash. I probably wouldn't hate it as much if they left the old one in and just called this a new map ffs

No, they should not, because that would defeat the point of a rework. Consulate was terrible, you are only saying this now because you are emotional that this map you played so many games in is now permanently gone, and a better version will take it's place. At the end of the day, it's a good thing this map is getting reworked.

Ah yes, because the old consulate had amazing flow. The new one literally gives the attackers more options to enter the fucking building. Electrical room, external walls, and fixed windows that were almost impossible to enter due to feet holes and the fact you had to rappel for every fucking entrance to 2f. Of course, it feels like a maze. You have had one day to play it. I played 1 T-hunt and instantly learned the map because it really isn't that different or difficult to learn. Everything is basically the same except for the 1f site that was almost never played before. Even then, the sites are all still in the same place.

I'm sick of complainers ruining OG maps because they don't know how to play the damn game
