This is perhaps the best version I've heard of this song. It had the tune of Bernadette Peters, the emotion of Meryl Streep, and something else I can't put into words. But wow, that was great!
Into the Woods is my all time favorite show, and this has always been one of my favorite songs/numbers from it. You sound absolutely amazing!! Your performance here reminds me allot of Hannah Waddingham's.
Bravo! It was an absolutely stunning listen, start to finish, chock full of that gritty anger and emotion that makes this song so vivid, raw, and impactful. By far the best cover of this song I've heard to date. Watch out, Meryl!
I am curious - in regards to your Into The Woods recording, how did you get it to sounds so "studio like" and so "official?" I have played around with garageband multiple times and have tried everything. I have Snowball microphone and a radioshack microphone but I can never get my recordings to sound official.
You have a beautiful voice, and charming eyes. I feel you missed some of the character or the song. Try building a bit more and change in your voice from the pretty thing that you are into a "monster." You have to reflect for the audience. We see in this song that the ugly witch was really the "normal" person and the real monster is the world. As you sing this role you have to kind of loose your mind a bit. You're too beautiful.
