You're not the only one who's last minute 😅 Although I spread NaNoWriMo for me over the course of Nov and Dec bc Uni started so it's not really possible for me to write or concentrate on my project every day bc I need to do so much stuff. Ironically, I will also use a project that I started when I was a lot younger, like elemantary/middle school. I have the same problem with figuring out whether to make it a YA or Adult fantasy book bc I really wanna keep the feeling and stuff when I started writing this (started reading fantasy with Eragon and first time watched LotR so traditional wholesome hero's journey high fantasy) but also the darker, more realistic themes are sneaking in (bc now after GoT, Witcher, Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls, Ulldart [fantasy series from my country] Stormlight Achieves etc. all the stuff little me wasn't allowed to read/watch/play yet) bc that is how I more like my fantasy now.

Even though your videos aren't normally this chaotic, it's somewhat fitting for an attempt to rewrite a high school project. Whenever my story ideas manage to survive from a pre-college starting point, they manage to fly super fast and loose each time they resurface. This is where I start to envy you, Ms. Lubratt, for your youthful stamina.

You're fine. I completely changed my NaNoWriMo Project in 2019 two days in and pantsed the project. I don't pants ever so, and I had a blast, but it was all over the place. You'll be fine.

I love seeing the pre-Nano last minute chaos. This morning I sat down to write my book for this Nano and as I was staring at the screen I was like "nope, not feeling it" and changed projects last minute. Literally no idea what I'm doing but so far I'm having a great time 😆

Some of my best work comes from really hard deadlines, so I bet the pressure brings out some of your best storytelling. Unrelated, I liked this concept of a monumental challenge in the month of November so much I planned out what I wanted to achieve in late October and set a schedule to achieve it. 2.5 days in and my productivity has gone through the rough. Thank you much for setting such a great example, and continued luck to you!

Ha, awesome! :D I'm kind of pantsing through this NaNo as well. Usually I plot a bit more but not too much. Seriously. Your writing is next level compared to mine. My rough draft is generally only 20ish thousand words and yours becomes 3 books with more than 50k words each! How the hell do you do it? Like how the hell?

I'm an overwriter 😂 sounds like you might be an underwriter meaning that you write shorter first drafts and add more stuff in later whereas I write a lot at first and then have to take some out to balance everything!

I love the outining method you mentioned at the start of this. Do you already have a video breaking down how you do this outline as an example? Maybe not with your story necessarily but with filler characters/plotlines?
