What a memorable tournament by both Gukesh and Nodirbek. We are lucky, the future of chess is looking very bright.

If he just accepted a draw in this game, they probably would have won gold. He should have taken the team's standing over his own's self record. I hope he learned from this.
@gabar6541
@gabar6541 2 года назад
Exactly. But he paid for his ego, which is also why he won gold. So TEAM MANAGER should also have given STRATEGIE to draw

Today in our country they welcomed with an amusement. Our prezident gave 60 00 $ for each champion, 4 - room apartment in the centre of the capital and luxury car per each which costs 40k.

My respect to both players ... Gukesh would rather loose like a man than to accept the draw .. I hope we see more thrilling encounters like this in the future

ACTING and STARING and acting as if he is better to influence GUKESH= MANUPULATION , though he was 40 moves behind till GUKESH bludered Easy DRAW would be correct

Poor sportsmanship Gurkesh not to shake hands. Very unprofessional. When you lose, it doesn't matter how, you shake hands. If instead you prefer crying stay in the Kindergarden.

Such a vacuous commentary. Check out agadmator's Chess Channel ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2S-1BFc2zvo.html for a great brake down of what just happened - start at about the 6 minute mark - a missed opportunity for Gukesh. Heart breaking

@@primus4cameron You can't compare live commentary with post-game analysis. The commentators have been commentating on different games for close 5 hours at that point. It is neither feasible nor useful to audience to keep showing variations for 5 hours.
