One of the best financial RU-vidrs out there. Most financial RU-vidrs just give generic advice, but you actually break down your net worth, income, and investing in-depth. Really useful for viewers.
i am your age and i am not even CLOSE to having a net worth like yours (i would say like most 22 year olds). what you have achieved is incredibly impressive & it is evident that you will succeed in your early retirement goa. congrats man, amazing work
I’m also a software engineer, but around 20 years older than you. Your financial awareness and contributions/investments will serve you well. Also great you’re documenting your progress, even if the value is for no one other than yourself. Enjoy the journey.
i think alot of people see you as "someone like me". I know i like watching your channel since your net worth and debt are realistic to what someone might have watching the video.
Appreciate the comment! I think the one open question about that relatability part starting out was, well, how relatable it actually is. My income, net worth and debt are definitely not out of the range of what is "sane" (there are statistically millions at the very least who are at a similar point as I am), but at the same time, it's still comparatively high in relation to how the average person is doing, regardless of whether that's in my age group or not. Given what has happened so far, I feel that it has found the right audience, which I am super grateful for.
I'm graduating from college soon, I was just wondering how old are you and how you were able to find a job, currently struggling right now as I still don't know if I want to pursue my passions or get a regular job for awhile.
22, working as a software engineer at a F500 (non-tech). I learned from my mistake the year before I graduated when I found out that hiring for college hires begins in July/August the year before, and largely wraps up before the new year. I have an older video that talks about my process of finding the job at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M0VSgElaYuk.html if you haven't seen it yet - it's mostly specific for people who want to work as software developers but I think there are some tidbits of useful information there as well. The market is definitely weird right now, especially for college graduates. I wish you the best of luck in finding a role.
@@raymondwzeng You’re so young yet so far ahead in my opinion, yeah I agree I should’ve looked a lot sooner, thank you for the insightful words, I appreciate your time!
Do you have individual stocks or ETFs? What do you invest in the most? Do you reinvest your dividends? I have $17.5k in Robinhood and $45.9 in my 401k with another $1200 other investment accounts and around $16k in HYSA It would be cool to get a modest breakdown of your accounts and investment strategies if you feel comfortable doing so. Keep up the great savings
