This was the most exciting and scariest game I watched all year. I was literally shaking watching this. I am so proud of Iowa winning this crazy game. Clark made some big shots and omg Marshall with some amazing defensive plays. This was an absolute thriller and had my heart racing.
Stuelke defended that shot with 1:48 left in regulation. Stuelke was under the hoop when Martin got the rebound. Passed it to Clark. Full court pass for a lay up. To Stuelke! That girl is fast!
She took off like a gazelle as soon as Kate grabbed that rebound. She knew that she would beat everyone down the floor and Caitlin would get it to her.
My first viewing of a women's basketball game. I was most impressed by Clark's dribbling behind her back while on the run and her accuracy from 3 pt. range--again a quick run-catch-shoot sequence. But the game was not nearly as intense as the men's game, and I wondered why. For starters, women appear not to have a classic "jump shot" in their tool kit. Also, the basketball itself is smaller than the men's version and the 3-point line is closer to the basket. I think the basket should be lowered by a foot or two to give players a chance to do athletic, crowd-pleasing slam-dunks. I'm glad to see the game has no death-defying sacrifices like those required of players who attempt to take a charge by a lumbering LeBron..All in all, the women's game is an engaging alternative to the noise of the men's. (Perhaps players who use post-game conferences to complain about "racist" and/or "sexist" mail would be better served by interpreting such events as a sign that their game has finally reached "prime time.")
Clark reminds me of a female version of a guy I went to School with at Springs Valley High School in French Lick, Indiana. Fade away jump shots, deep corner shots, great passes to teammates.
@@michaelwilliams5234 Didn't watch the whole game, just the highlights. Refs let a lot of physical contact (especially pushing off by the dribbler) from what I saw.
good on these coaches programs, play team basketball with no take downs, elbows, and palms to the face. that kind of crap snuck into the pac 12 this year, and its unacceptable.
after further review, it looks like she faked picking up the ball, she tucks her arm in and gets the defender to bite on the pass to the outside. if anything its a carry, but is that even a rule anymore? lol
Yeah, that Cainlin Clark is pretty good. But I'm pretty sure that me and four of my buddies could probably beat her. Well, maybe. Or, at least, not get totally shown up by her. So, yeah, she's pretty good.
I have wondered what's going on between CC's parents. I've seen her mother reach out to him, across a son who normally sits between them, and he has rejected her & said no no. Not my business but something is amiss there.
Sorry to remind Iowa fans that you had 30 free throw attempts to West Virginia's 5. Refs swallowed their whistles on Iowa fouls. I think if this game wasn't at Iowa, you lose this game.
I care because I never watched women’s ball until Clark. This game was the best all year (men’s and women’s). You haters will always crap on women’s ball but this was a damn thriller. My heart was racing
Agree, Hannah. I'd really like to ask some of these people to "put their money where their mouth is." How about sending me $50 for every clip I can send you of Paige, Angel, Jaz, Hannah H, Juju, and just about anyone else that gets fouled on a shot and complains about the no-call? Who's willing to do it? NO. ONE. (And let's not even get started on the NBA or WNBA players.) They ALL do it, but it's so much fun to hate on Caitlin right now. Besides, those "keyboard warriors" wouldn't have the cojones (or the money) to pony up when I send them all those clips, at $50 bucks a pop--!! (It's probably the same pile of mental midgets who like to talk about how selfish someone is, when they lead the country in assists. Of course, facts don't matter, when you're out there "swooping" online--.) 😏
