I think you're such a genuine and loving person, and I'd be so proud to have a friend like you. I may not have known Edd, but he seemed like he enjoyed your company and was glad to have you in his life. As someone who also lost a friend of many years (to suicide, not disease, which I mention because I'm aware that it makes for a different circumstance), when people are assholes about shit like this you've got to remind yourself that they didn't know your friend like you did, especially if you were your friend's best friend.

14:37, Tom, Listen, Those people who write mean comment are only jealous at the fact that you are a successful human being. They only wanna get under your skin to mess you up, so they can be better. Those people arn't the problem eather, the fact that your letting it get under skin is. Tom, You are a great successful person, and if Edd were here, he would say the same thing.

Unfortunately I'd say frequency of uploads is probably the main issue for the main channel. Going long periods of times without uploads kills channels. I didn't upload for a month and a half or so and it shows on my channel. The only thing I can recommend is starting a easier to produce series on the channel to fill in the gaps between the costly sketches. I know James Jaiden and I try to aim for bi-weekly uploads.

I freaking yelled at my screen when you said the Edd trolls were probably right. After all the growing you’ve done, and after all the people you’ve helped and supported despite your own difficulties in life, your best friend could be nothing but proud. You don’t give yourself enough credit, Tom. You’re an amazing person. Your faults make you human and your honesty about them makes you someone to look up to.

I sincerely really loved the last Jedi, I know it’s a flawed movie, but it’s and enjoyable romp in the Star Wars universe. And if you think the other Star Wars movies were perfect then take of you thick nostalgia goggles because they far from perfect movies, they are still some of my favorite movies but they were not flawless.

personally I forget that the Tomska channel exists because content is so rare, having said that recently its picked back up again. One issue is that when new sketches come out I never see them on the recommended page whereas a year ago it used to be one of the first ones up there every time

Tom, I don't think having your audience growth slow down isn't necessarily a bad thing. I remember reading an interview with the Fratellis saying the reason they broke up is because they weren't gaining new listeners so they went off to do their own things. But a few years later they realised that what they had before was a small-ish but dedicated fan base and that's something to be proud of having as a creator. you have a consistent viewer base who love your work and that fan base not growing like it once did is nothing to be ashamed of. be proud of what you do have, not down because other youtubers have more :) In short you're fab and your fan base is fab and that's awesome :)
