actually, we were not created, we evolved (last), but not evolved enough... i'd say there are at least 10 genera worth of species more evolved than ours
@flyaround312
@flyaround312 2 года назад
There are definitely plants and animals that evolved after humans, some of them even created by us (wolves evolved into dogs, wild hogs were evolved by us into domesticated pigs used for meat, plants are selectively bred and crossbred until they change so much from the original they can be classified as a new species, etc). I agree with the rest of what you said though

The American prairie reserve reminded me of the greater Kruger area in South Africa. That area, which is 860,000 acres of protected land, is west of the Kruger National Park and allows wildlife to roam freely.

Great video, NG. This may be a dumb question, but is there a reason why it is uploaded in 16:9 with black bars top and bottom? Wouldn't uploading in 21:9 give the same effect on a 16:9 monitor? That way people with ultra-wide like me could enjoy it in fullscreen, and not have a black frame around the whole image.

Signs all over the breaks area that say "Save The Cowboy, Stop The American Prairie Reserve." Kind of a fence sitter myself. While I'd like to see more protected area, but kind of think this is overly ambitious. For one thing, besides buying private property, they'll need to retire lots of grazing permits on public land. With that being said, grasslands are among the least protected areas on the planet. Dream big but be realistic too..

It seems that American Prairie wants visitors. Now if you walk near a bison the bull will keep you out yikes! But do you ever think that humans keep most species out of the land? Do you know that since the 1970's that 70percent of mammals, reptiles,amphibians, fish and birds are rapidly declining in numbers and btw human populations have doubled from 4 to 8 billion? Would you wonder in any way if something needs to be done to save species?
@tommosher8271
@tommosher8271 7 месяцев назад
@@annemiller6872 The species we need to save is US the rest will be OK after that and the ones we need to protect ourselves from are the ppl likes these, who aren't trusted by the folks in Montana because they are just a new version of those who play the same game of stealing land under false pretenses. Allowing visitors now is not the issue unless that's limited to vetted visitors, which it is and there is nothing being said about how things will operate in the long term nor any thing in place to hold them to the terms or any conditions that are implied by any one involved in the development of this operation. This all falls under suspicion as the Buffalo nor any other species is in any more of needing saving than any other. Once they get enough land to do anything they want there is nothing that will keep them from denying people access to these places which is the main way of keeping a check on what those who like to mine the resources without having any one standing their way. That's the door that is being open in many place in this country by making it impossible for people to live in the areas the mining companies have been denied access to because of the people who live in those areas. What you are alluring to is the need to depopulate the human race in favor of the animals that aren't in danger in the under populated areas of the country. All this will do is make it harder to feed and keep our own species healthy and happy. That's no solution as our job is to manage and care for the world we live in which if you want to do the best for it than that means keeping the mining companies from doing all the damage they do because if there is a climate problem they are the ones causing it and blaming us when which turns us against each other rather than deal with the real criminals here that want everyone gone from the places they want to mine. Don't help them do it by trying to belittle those who know more about it than you do because you haven't educated yourself to the other sides of the story you will find them moving you off your land next if you help do it to someone else.

For the most part, as a cattle rancher / conservationist, I approve heartily of what the American Prairie Reserve is doing in northern Montana. Hopefully, the PC crowd of highly-urbanized, totally-disconnected from nature Leftists will not ruin it. By-the-by, anyone born on the North or South American continent is a Native American. Aboriginal people had millennia to adapt to this continent and its ways. Many rural and frontier people of European descent are learning to recognize the sacredness and wholeness of a healthy landscape, too. The APR is a good case-in-point.
@bcoates87
@bcoates87 2 года назад
Do you know how long a Millennia is? 1000 years. When did the first European settlers invade this county? Somewhere roughly in the late 1500’s. Clearly math and common sense aren’t your strong suits if you think 450 years is the same as a thousand years. But even it had been a thousand years since this country was taken over by the European settlers, why should the Native Americans abandon all of their history and culture? Why should they have to “fully adapt” to however you except them them to be? Why don’t you go back to your safe space at a make America great rally, don’t want you to hurt yourself with any critical thinking...

Ever wonder if we need to do small things to save other species? There is a 70 percent rapid decline in species of reptiles, amphibians, birds, mammals, and fish since the 1970's. Humans doubled in population from 4 to 8 billion since 1970's. I know the natural world looks healthy but it is not as we have degraded much of the earth. Saving small areas like American Prairie are needed or we are on track to lose a million species in a few decades...an ecological emergency!
