That pine smells nice and crackles when burning. Great for outdoor fires. I burn it in my wood stove occasionally after it’s dried for 2 summers. It the heat output is terrible. Enjoy.
@steveindorset
@steveindorset Месяц назад
Yea we used to burn dried pine cones in our wood stove at Christmas, made the house smell lovely. Pine is great for getting the fire going and is ok to burn with harder woods like oak. But, like you say, it just burns up really quickly on its own and can take an age to dry. I found stacking it out in the open to let it weather for a year, then put it under cover for a year worked best.
@oakiewoodsman
@oakiewoodsman Месяц назад
2 Summers?!?! I feel like my stuff drys fairly quickly here. This is a different kind of pine verses the ones you see in the background on my property. interested to see where this stuff gets to by the end of summer. Thanks for watching Steve!

Colour co-ordinating the microphone to your beard is next level :D I reckon the splitter needs a bit more of a working table around everywhere where you're not standing to work.
@driftlesshunter9200
@driftlesshunter9200 Месяц назад
The lift table is the working table. Anything more would be annoying in my opinion. You need the other side clear to stand & operate the splitter. I might park my UTV box at the end of the log splitter (along the hitch) at times. I would rather have that space open for throwing split wood into a dump box or trailer. I think the design he has is perfect. I see no need for an added working table.
@oakiewoodsman
@oakiewoodsman Месяц назад
Hey Alan, like what was stated below, if any of it got much larger on the back or the front it would make the usability go down and the ergonomics. Most of the time, I do not have stuff go on the ground but in this circumstance I was just trying to get done and that Pine with the large limb wood was super tough! Thanks again! Haha.... I have had someone else mention the color coordination before as well.

Thanks for coming on by! I had another inquiry this morning. The gentlemen needs to speak to the wife. Fingers crossed sir! Thank you so much or watching. The kinetic splitters look very cool and certainly have a purpose for sure. I have figured out that pretty every design exists for one reason or another and can excel or fall on it's face depending on the task at hand. I am not sure they would work for much of my wood like Sycamore and Elm and some of the oak wood. Thank you again!

@oakiewoodsman Месяц назад
It is working for sure. Planning on running it again tomorrow. I really need to do a service because it is passed due. That always seems to happen with me however. I think that there may very well be some pickaroons in the background here but I find I like them in larger wood that I can pickup. Thank you again!

Great video 😊 if measuring from the table to the bottom of the wings on the four-way, how tall are the wings on the four-way? Also, how long of a work time did it take to split up that pile of wood you split?

I have some videos running this splitter early on where I went off of the engine runtime. As someone creating video however, you would be astonished at how much time is wasted due to moving the camera around, swapping batteries etc. The splitter is very fast. If you want to see me run this splitter again and Eastonmade Ultra, here is a link on another channel. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KjXqbFhxy24.htmlsi=sb7eW2LzDZ462ySE If you would like to see me run the Ultra on my channel, here is a link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i8PrhIqINg8.html

@oakiewoodsman
@oakiewoodsman Месяц назад
Buying new, it would certainly be the DJI hands down. Especially since they have gotten the focus issue resolved on them with the newer action cam. In fact, the only reason I was able to get this one is because I recommended the DJI to Mike @TheRustyGarageandHomestead when he had mentioned trouble with the GoPro. He purchased the Osmo Action 4 and a Drone. I have this GoPro 9 Black as a Trade. I feel as if he hooked me up. The video is INSANE on this thing. I am really enjoying having it thus far. I have lots of batteries and wouldn't mind a couple of other GoPros as well. If something is Super important, i will use my iPhone. Thanks much!
