Omg I’ve had perioral dermatitis on and off since my freshman year of college!! The best way to get rid of it is to stop using any products on your face/body/hair with sulfates and harsh scents, put rosehip oil on your face, take zinc, and try to eat an anti inflammatory diet. Also wearing absolutely no makeup at all is the only way I can personally keep my perioral dermatitis away (the second I heavily cake my face she comes right back). Oh and also makeup wipes hurt her too :/

HI! I’M WRITING IN CAPS TO TRY MY BEST TO CATCH YOUR ATTENTION I’ve had perioral dermatitis and the pharmacist told me that it’s basically the equivalent to have a yeast infection, but on your face. So the best thing to do is to go get some Athlete’s foot fungal cream and apply a thin coat every morning and every night. It solved it for me, and it was exactly like what you have. Try it! - Arthure

Omg girl I had this for like 10 months. Tried 7 (!) different prescribed medications (I m not joking), including 2 oral antibiotics who gave me allergic reactions.. now it’s much better (even dare I say it went away?) and I think maybe switching my toothpaste helped, but it might be a coincidence. Yours is not as bad though. Good luck!

For the last couple of years I've gotten perioral dermatitis like clockwork once the weather starts getting colder in like late November! A doctor diagnosed it without me even asking in like thirty seconds and I got a prescription for antibiotics and it cleared right up! But other than that, what really helped me was a thin face lotion for dry and sensitive skin, I used Clinique!

Make sure it's not Demodex. I swear while I've had scabies, I have gotten Demodex because I pull the stuff out of the creases of my eyes all day now and it took me using 10% Permethrin that I ordered off the internet all over my body, overnight to get rid of the scabies and I'm still not 100% sure that it's even gone. I was so scared that it was going to hurt me and I do have a swollen lymph node under my neck or right under my jaw or chin but other than that it's just a little bit of soft poop with grainy stuff in it. May be TMI but I have had the worst he'll getting rid of this scabies. I called it back sometime in January and the symptoms started in March and its September 2nd. Obviously I'm having some trouble with my immune system because it should not be that difficult to get rid of but I just pray that it is over so just keep that in mind because you could have gotten that at the same time because when you have scabies it lowers your immune system and obviously your immune system is good because you got rid of it with the one or two treatments parrot sounds like you just caught it and was able to easily get rid of it. I don't even know where mine came from. I have no clue and that's what drives me crazy is what if I get it again? At least now I know how to get rid of it but I'm like if this doesn't do the job oh, I'm going to end up in the hospital and my parents are going to have to take my son because I have to get rid of it. They made a lesion around my mouth where I can barely walk, brush my teeth or even eat because it hurts so bad. Those are the hardest ones to treat if it's a fever blister but this is not a fever blister, this is a lesion from scabies and it just popped up out of nowhere overnight so I've been still putting the 10% Permethrin right on top of it, not mixed with anything in any other spot that I'm suspicious of because I swear it looks like there's little worm looking things in there but I don't know what they look like, I've heard that you can't see them with the eye but I think if you look really close that you can but I've seen so many different looking things that I don't really know what they truly look like. Anyhow I hope it gets better soon

Hi to Haley or anyone else who has discovered they have bumps of tingley/itchy bumps around your face, I had this for a long time and i let it get worse until i finally went to the doctor. My primary care had no idea what it was so he gave me a steroid (which initially helps then it makes it much worse) and sent me to an allergist. The allergist took one look at me - told me not to wear makeup and only use the basic hypoallergenic face wash and lotion and sent me to a dermatologist. I finally did a bunch of research and went in to the dermatologist knowing what it was. It was periorbital (it spread to around my nose and eyes and mouth) dermatitis. He gave me an antibiotic and a cream which is an immunosuppressant called Elidel cream. The antibiotics and elidel have cleared it up and it hasn't returned for two years. You can drive yourself crazy trying to find a cause but there is no one known cause. My advice would be to not let it get too big. (Mine spread to my eyes and on my eyelids so it was obstructing my view) and don't be afraid to go to a dermatologist. They've seen POD a lot.

Stop👏using👏fluorinated👏toothpaste👏 This is what stopped my dermatitis. I could treat with whatever: apple cider vinegar, aloe, coconut oil, calendula. It helped, but it went away only when I got a fluoride free toothpaste which was advice from my doctor. Boom gone. I did have a flare up years after when I accidentally used fluoride again and my face freaked out and I had to go on antibiotics to get rid of that one. Anyways hope that helps. Something to try.

Your rash might be a food allergy! I had something really similar last summer and found out I was allergic to gluten/wheat. I went gluten free and my rash cleared up. If you have any other allergy symptoms (ie stomach issues) that could be it. Or something you're applying to your skin. Do be cautious though, because dermatitis can get infected (happened to me) and it's really gross and painful lol
